Ex-Senator Elisha Abbo in Police Custody Over Alleged Rape of Minor

Former Senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo, has surrendered to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja following allegations that he raped a 13-year-old secondary school student.

The parents of the victim told journalists that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani), a former governorship candidate in Adamawa State, visited their home to plead with them not to disclose the scandal. They also alleged that Abbo had sent money to the girl’s father multiple times in what they described as attempts to suppress the matter.

As of press time, the former lawmaker remained in custody at the FCID.

This is not Abbo’s first brush with controversy. In 2019, he was arrested after a viral video showed him assaulting a woman at a intimacy gadget shop in Abuja. More recently, he faced allegations of blackmail involving a married woman and an alleged sex tape.

According to family sources, the latest alleged assault took place on June 29, 2025, at Abbo’s residence in Katampe, Abuja.

I want to believe this is true.
Elisha Abbo has always been a controversial senator. This will be the 4th rape case(allegedly) against him if I am not mistaken.
Early this year He was invited to BREKETE FAMILY LIVE to defend allegations against him ranging from humiliation of a lady, torture, rape, etc.

May be its not a rape but sexual predation of a minor. He most likely lured her with something he think she might need money or something and took advantage of her and probably got her injured in the process which attracted the attenion of her parent who reported the matter to the appropriate authority. Shame on Abbo any man sexual predator like him.
