ayoncox:During Interview you negotiate salary as a experience employee .if you like call any amount if they need you they pay. That how recruitment is done . Some Dundee's come online and say Indians are over paid .they negotiate their salary during interviews We Local also negotiate our salary no need for any union they ask you what you expected salary and you state it Same role Candidate A negotiated 6m per annum Candidate B negotiate 9m And they where both employed then Candidate A became Jealous after knowing the other pays |

So because you worked in someone’s company for some time you now feel you have a right to determine the destiny of the organization? Build your own company or get employed in pengassan. |

Educationalserv:What you just raised is the main reason for unionism, except for strategic roles there should not be need for mind games or wages negotiation, it's supposed to be classified and structured. Capitalism always want to extract the best out of people, manipulate them to settle for less until they realize they are being cheated, Unions comes to bring stability to the chaoses Capitalists create. I am actually surprised at how people are praising Dangote as Messiah when he is actually part of the problems, it's totally wrong for a foreigner to be paid higher than a local when in actual sense the local is even well equipped and experienced that the foreigner all because the word expatriates are used |

fxexperts:You don't come to my mention to tell me that a report put in the public domain by Premium Times is false without bringing your purported true version of the story! It simply means that you debunk reports even when you have no contrary details, and only ignorance could have caused that. It would have been more honourable to skip and pass. |

Is the sacking justified ... That's why the union comes in... A company owner can decide to sack u for breathing too much.... But is that justifiable? ...this is the function of union...I'm not saying the union isn't corrupt..so is dangote system and MRS..... It's just the case of bigger thief calling out a smaller one NOETHNICITY: |

Eraddray:When you borrow to establish a 20billion dollar refinery and wakes up one morning to hear about the creation of a WhatsApp group whose members are tasked with supplying daily information on the company to an external body, you will understand how just the sacking is. |

NOETHNICITY:This is the mentality they have so baptized you with to make you allow swallowing their shit, and you are here is doing it with all the pride in you. Yes, there are millions of job seeking Nigerians but not alot of them are qualified enough to be fit for employment. So if you think that because those graduates were sacked by Dangote then he will employ you and your siblings, my dear, you are wrong because you and your siblings are not experienced and qualified enough to take up such a role. Rather, he will look for Indians who are qualified, and that is what he has done. So, undoing your fellow blacks' thinking that you will be elevated above them because of your jealousy and hate for your race will never lead you anywhere; rather, your kids and future generation will grow to face the same toxic environment you advocated for during your time. |

seanfer:This is not about allowing union run your business, Union is not running Dangote refinery, i know they are a pain the ass sometimes but they are there to balance the employee and employer relationship and vreate an hea;lthy work environment. and in a country like Nigeria where the entire three arms of government has failed the common man, union is the only hope a common man can have, but i do not expect folks like you to understand this. You have never worked in a multinational organisation before, to know how they treat their staff. |
| Re: How Whatsapp Group Led To Sacking Of Workers At Dangote Refinery – Sources by fxexperts: 1:58pm On Oct 03, 2025 |
Educationalserv:That is the hurdle they will never employ you there in India where they have indians to do the job. The government will close down that company, talk more of paying you a huge amount over the indian workers na who are able to achieve such in India. Only a crime scene like Nigeria this kind of thing can happen. Even in Angola here such nonsense cannot happen. If you employ an Expat you must employ an Angolan to work alongside that Expat as an understudy, and that understudy will be paid the same amount you are paying that Expat. You know that and know how your country has failed its workers. A lot of experienced engineers we have in Nigeria are leaving the country and going to work abroad none wants to work for Nigeria again. Some we will have shortage of Nigerian experienced engineers, but it is not easy for us to get jobs Abroad. |

fxexperts:You cry democracy, equity, fairness and true separation of power from the government. But you are hypocritically reluctant to implement same at the union level... Why would a dispute with a private refinery lead to a total shut down of the economy? Why would a union unilaterally have such power without a congregation? So if there's a dispute within a private university that led to the sacking of some lecturers, ASUU should ground the academic sector? If comprehension did not betray you then: You will note speration into independent unions based on states and sector would. Ensure tyrants don't hijack the labour for malicious intent. FOR NATIONWIDE ISSUES THESE UNIONS CAN CALL A CONGREGATION OF NIGERIAN LABOUR UNIONS AND JOINTLY DECIDE TO GROUND THEIR SECTO(S). But not an all powerful union under a tyrannical board... |

muyico:Thinking like those terrorist ipob! What has this issue got to do with region? Is pengassan a West owned Union? I am sure terrorist ipob are not happy that the refinery was not built in their enclave for them to use against other Nigerians. I discussed with someone that it's likely those so called pengassan and nupeng guys pushing to disrupt the refinery operations are those disguised ipob who have infiltrated various sectors with plans to sabotage every development in the country. if that refinery was located in the terrorist ipob enclave, these terrorists would have got a bargaining chip against Nigeria. |

Educationalserv:. Any company who do a thing like that is a wicked company. Companies are not doing you a favor when they employ you. An employment contract is a mutually beneficial one between the employer and the employee, as much as the employee needs the job to earn a salary to pay their bills, the same way the employer needs the employee to work and earn money for them. Using the failed state of the economy, because there are many jobless people in the country, is not enough reason to make the worker feel that you are doing him any favours. You are supposed to make your employees happy so they can be motivated to work for you with all their heart and see your company as their. i can tell you for free that employees will stay and give their life for an employer who they feel cares about them. |

seanfer:Nobody is saying anything about union running any business and when di the union said they wanted to run Dangote refinery. You people just use your emotions to reason and act anyhow. All the companies like NLNG, Exxon Mobil, Seplat, and Shell that are members of Pengassen. is it the union that is running those companies are those companies not owned by private investors? If you do not know about a thing, then stop talking about it. |

yemre:You are the one who should skip and pass since you cannot even use your brain for once to reason logically. I asked again what is the sentive information thay are giving is it the daily production report or the maltreatment report they are receiving. until your paid premium times can answer that then this report is rubbish and for one i said i have worked in that refinery before and I resigned voluntarily after a few months. so you that has never even stepped your foot their is just talking out of ignorance. |
| Re: How Whatsapp Group Led To Sacking Of Workers At Dangote Refinery – Sources by fxexperts: 6:42pm On Oct 03, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY:You mean employing new Indian hands who will never pay tax to the Nigerian government and same new indians who will never consume his product. Trump and other world leaders are looking for wys to chase foreigners who will even pay tax to them away from their country so they will not take up the American Jobs that the same Americans do not even want to do, and here you are supporting a black man to give jobs meant for Nigerians to foreigners, and you are so happy about it. Let's talk about the slave trade, er, the black slave masters were even far worse than the whites. If not, then people like you betrayed your fellow blacks by aligning with the foreign colonial masters because they gave you a small position to maltreat your brothers. How do you think i single white man can come into Africa and capture an entire town? That mentality is still so deep in you. |

I don’t even believe that their pay isn’t taxed, and they aren’t it cannot be Dangote’s fault. Is Dangote now a white man? We don’t want you people to ruin his business. He is black and we are trying to protect a fellow black man’s business. |
