When foreigners visit Nigeria and ride from Ikeja airport all the way to Eko hotel where they often have events, what do their Nigerian drivers typically tell them that we used our trillions of petrodollars to do? This level of poverty is unthinkable!

Hoenstly, a colleague just visited Nigeria for the first time since 2016 and he said Nigerias infrastructure has improved drastically. He also visited Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone and his feedback was Nigeria was more developed than those countries. Albeit more tense because of his security detail but overall more economic activities, churches and somewhat better infrastructure as compared to 2016

Kongi have refused to comment on the utter maladministration & bastardization of the Nigerian state under the rudderless govt of his kinsman.

This is simply because he has been maintaining table manners despite endlessly saying he will reject any structure named after him in Nigeria. Hypocrisy and bigotry are some of the vices no sane person should ever possess.
When Kongi was busy fighting for your forefathers, you were nowhere to be born. Go to your village and ask for history if they will not distort it

Subsidy has done more harm than good for this country.
More than 10 billion usd was used during GEJ tenure. No single legacy project.
Despite the oil boom during his tenure.
The cabal milked this country with the scam petrol subsidy.

What sort of comment is this? Must we always focus on what has gone wrong, or not done, in the past? Can't we embrace optimism and hope for the future considering this occasion itself is a joyous and positive one?

Na wa for some of you and the way you seem to let negativity define your thinking and talk 24/7.

The National theatre, a pride of Nigeria in the past, had been long neglected and ignored. It's restoration is a thing of joy and positivity and I wonder why you cannot see this and only able to comment negatively.
If you read bibe, in proverbs “ proverb said “ God give bread to the eater and He gave seed to the sower.”

You asked question because you never knew what they say, but we answered you on what they say, but you are denying it. If you knew the answer, why were you asking before? You can see that hatred has formatted your brain, you want to condiction us to carry hatred bag along with you, right? You better come down from the rooftop of hatred for Tinubu because I don't know if that is tour mission on earth. Your hatred of Buhari never affected him, he achieved all he wanted, married all his children to billionaires while you are still ranting online after eleven years of Buhari. Obi can not win 2027 election, Tinubu will win; better begin to love Tinubu as your president of you celebrate 16 years of hatred after his tenure
That's because kongi wasn't born yesterday. He was born far before Nigeria got independence. He was born before Naira existed so you don't have to tell him a bag of Rice was sold for #7500 during Jonathan's regime. He was born when intelligent leaders like Tafawa Balewa and Awolowo were running the affairs of the nation or their region so he won't listen to your shortsighted boasting that Jonathan and his shepopotamus were the best leaders we have ever had. Kongi came from a region whose premier built the first university, the first university teaching hospital, free universal education, first television station in Africa, industrial
conglomerate, so he won't believe you when you say that one unintelligent politician with a very poor performance as Governor is the best saviour Nigeria needs. Kongi has seen many years thus, those PDP years you are celebrating were horrible years to people with his level of experience and age.

You call yourself smart but it’s not showing in your message. Do you know what they call trillion of dollar not to talk of trillions?

And no one on the platform corrected you. You guys just exaggerate things. Reading your message alone has given me a clue to the kind of person you will be in real life.

Sorry, you are probably young, but I am not. I have believed NTA's lies for several decades; I am tired of promises. I want to see actions; I want to see total transformation of this country in my lifetime, and Tinubu lacks the rectitude and intellectual capacity to bring that paradigm shift.
You are old indeed but reason like a toddler. You think nation move from 0-100 in a day continue.

Are you okay at all? They are talking of an event at the renovated and renewed national.theatre and he is talking about foreigner's going from Ikeja to Wko hotel.

What is the correlation for you to assume anyone has stopped him criticising? Where is Ikeja or Eko
Hotel mentioned ? The point is that his criticism should be relevant and fitting.

They use to say whaoo! Nigeria has really developed from what they knew last time they visited. They do pray that may God continue to bless Nigeria, the giant of Africa. Our oil money is working unlike oil money which ekpa and his minister for oil and gas always pocketed without using it to send any Biafran for scholarships, they don't construct Biafra road, they don't give small loan to any Biafran except hijacking tri-cycles, motor and kill innocent Biafrans for Biafrans.

They use to end praying for Biafra a especially that may there be peace and remove hatred of anything Tinubu or Buhari from their hearts because once they are blindfolded by their hatred of Tinubu, even El-rufai that they once tagged terrorist, jihadist, body bag, Igbo haters will now become their best romancing friend.
What are you trying to say......
Ekpe.....Biafra
Oil and gas .
Construct roads
Tinubu hatred , Buhari hearts...

Can you give the phone to one Nurse there, let me speak with her.....

It is a thing of joy.

But must your pro govt work extend to refusing to acknowledge the sorry state of our country?

Can you be paid enough to deny the hunger pangs of your children?
Is it every day you people must keep talking negativity about Nigeria? Even today and on a thread you people should commend govt for the beauty of that place you still flooded here with negativity. That shows sadistic tendencies. Why not be happy for what they just achieved today and complain again tomorrow? Even Obi the serial complainer in Chief has not seen this to commend today. He is waiting for negative things to happen before releasing press statement. Obi and his followers need deliverance!

Yes I am "paid" and my children are "hungry". Whatever floats your boat mate.

You think you are shading others but to successful folks here, you only reveal your own lowly level, limitations and ambition for thinking everyone on NL is in your situation.

God bless you. This is my very point. Many successful people will tell you, also verified by psychologists, that being pessimistic always shows sub-optimal mental health which directly impacts negatively on the ability to make personal progress and gain success.

Some of these guys dont appreciate they are mentally unhealthy when they turn every discussion, to include very positive and happy ones, to a downbeat moan-fest.

The reality is that it is mentally unhealthy people who use things wrong in life to taint every good and progressive things around them.

It is healthy demanding good governance but even healthier having the balance to commend good that leaders have done when it is that good development being discussed.

Oga, talk your own and leave him pls.
It's his thoughts not yours, or has Tinubu and APC sent you to prevent people from airing their views?
This has nothing to do with preventing anyone "airing their views". It seems you don't read enough, or plan to be successful enough, to know that perpetual pessimism, even when it is totally out of place, is a sign of poor mental health.

If some of you are not similar to the poster I initially addressed, you then misguided jumped to defend, you'd see there is no correlation at all with his talk, entirely unneeded also, of foreigners unhappiness at driving from Ikeja to Eko hotel on a thread regarding a national event at the recently fully renovated national Theatre.

The place had fallen into decades long sordid disrepair till the Buhari Government and CBN renovated it.

If you cannot see good anymore, especially where people are jubilating such, something is wrong and very unhealthy with you.

Balanced and mentally healthy people criticise when appropriate and commend when fitting also.
