nothingspoil70:Do you mean negative thinkers who packaged Buhari as APC change messiah, four years after calling him expired ![]() What aspect of our country has not expired since APC palliative sharing, extreme poverty shege replaced PDP’s deregulation and privatisation prosperity? anonimi:Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria. During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”. He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer. His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle. “When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly. “If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly. “I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”. Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy. https://dailypost.ng/2021/09/01/flashback-how-bola-tinubu-spoke-highly-of-buhari-in-2015-named-pdp-poverty-development-party/ |

helinues:These are business bigwigs desiring to invest for their profit. It's commonsense that u don't curse the tree while desiring its fruit. Again, Some of those economists hold high positions in the likes of WEF which is a sister body to IMF where Tinubu's economic policies are dictated. They dare not criticise while still on platform. Now let's get into it. There is no gain saying that Nig economy is in doldrums. Inflation is all time high, naira has abysmally lost its value, tailing as the 44th currency in Africa out of 54 countries. Evidently, what is the value of dollar to naira? Nigeria has been ranked the 12th poorest country in the world (which is generous) by gross domestic product per capita in 2025 by IMF with 89 million of its population in abject poverty. The most touted economic policies of Tinubu have not produced any visible impact in the lives of average Nigs but plague of hunger and the promissory rhetoric of result will soon manifest. We all know it's not happening. Now, despite the much talk about subsidy removal, we can not point to any benefit that accrue as a result. Rather layers of debt that will take generations to clear. Where is the subsidy money going to? We have gone past the stage of using investors mere chant of clean bill of health to assess the overall performance of this blighted economy mishaps we presently have under this tax master, except we are being deluded or deceitful. |

May God continue to bless the man called Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Those that can see far obviously can see the SOLID FOUNDATIONS this man is putting in place virtually in every sectors of our economy. However, for the myopic lads whose visions are clouded with bigotry and hate, they will never see anything good in those giant strides because they are programmed that way. In just 2years and few months, this man had reinstated the fact that Nigeria can be great again via his moves. I am very happy Nigeria has this kind of rare gem as our president. God bless Nigeria |

). There are interesting connections between the last post (about Dr Majekodunmi), this post and the next post. The Osagie Medical Centre is right beside St Nicholas Hospital (which was established by Dr Majekodunmi) and Professor Belo-Osgie's daughter-in-law works there. Professor Belo-Osagie is also the uncle of the famous Professor Osato Giwa-Osagie, who also worked at the Osagie Medical Centre at a point in time.
