I’ll implore you not to embarrass yourself on a public forum

Wage at 33k then can buy 110 pieces
Wage at 70k now can buy 74 max

Rubbish talks.

Food price hasn't dropped significantly, just a slight drop.

It doesn't have to be celebrated because the prices are still far more than they use to be before balablu took over power.

Look, you people need to GROW UP on this forum.

You are not children. Everybody by now knows EXACTLY WHY prices had to go up.

Stop pretending you don't know why.

It is OBSCENE to talk about the pre-fuel subsidy removal prices as the Barometer for where prices should be, WITHOUT concurrently saying ''Bring back fuel subsidies!''.

So SAY IT.

Say ''Bring back fuel subsidies and dual exchange rates so we can have low prices.''

So that Nigerians will know that your heads are not correct.

The dual exchange rate you mentioned was introduced by your APC under Buhari.

Through PDP years the exchange rate was very stable and black and official market prices were very similar with very little difference.

PDP squandered tens of billions of dollars, and the measures taken by Buhari were caused by the oil price crash of 2015 right after PDP left with the treasury empty..

Buhari had 1/4th per annum the income Jonathan had.

Yet Buhari accomplished more in infrastructure, including by building the $2 billion 2nd Niger Bridge, which 16 years of PDP rule couldn't deliver.

You PDP people are shameless.

PDP didn’t start under Jonathan. It started from 1999 under OBJ. How much was oil then? How was the economy when OBJ took over compared to two years of him in office?

Mind you, APC and Buhari experienced great oil prices for his period of 8 years compared to Jonathan 2 years oil boom.

Buhari didn't start dual exchange rates. The dollar black markets have been there for decades. You might as well say Buhari started fuel subsidy

You are talking like a drunk man. Oil prices dropped so much under Buhari that Nigeria got into recession three times in eight years

Which Nigerians are you referring to, please? Is it the same Nigerians suffering under Tinubu's calamitous economic policies masquerading as reforms policies that have only succeeded in inflicting untold hardship, hunger, and strife? And now, Tinubu is telling Nigerians to continue enduring the pain, as if his sole purpose as president is to inflict pains and make life unbearable.

..so at your stand in life..you failed to realise that the value or worth of the minimum wage was far higher than what the value of the wage is today... grin grin

..some of you collected Laptops..without having any atom of idea what you delve into...drop sensless rebuttals and logic, asking illogical questions..& still have the audacity to quote comments more sensible than yours..

It's obvious you're not well-informed, so let me break it down to your level.

When the minimum wage was N18,000 during Jonathan’s administration, that amount could buy at least two 50kg bags of rice with some change left for other essentials. Fast forward to today, N70,000 minimum wage can’t even buy one 50kg bag of rice.

That’s the difference. This is exactly what we mean when we say Tinubu’s policies have wrecked the value of the naira and plunged the economy into chaos. In fact, Tinubu didn’t just mismanage the economy, he literally set it on fire. Tinubu committed economic arson

Nigeria went into recession because of the incompetency of the Buhari administration and not oil prices. Is Nigeria the only oil producing nation? Why did Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the likes not also go into recession because of falling oil prices?

Who told you that? Russia had a recession in 2022, Saudi Arabia in 2023, around the same time as Nigeria. Besides the economies of those countries you mentioned are more diversified than Nigeria's.

How was Buhari incompetent? I want to learn

LOL. Nigeria recessions were 2015/2016 and 2016/2017.

Russia 2022 recession was due to the sanctions placed on them because of the Russia/Ukraine war.

Saudi Arabia do not experience recession in 2023.

Ok. Keep running from pillar to post. If you think the Russian recession of 2022 was due to sanctions, what about 2014- 2016? Two whole years. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_financial_crisis_(2014%E2%80%932016)

And here's Saudi's own
