Good day and a happy weekend to every Nairalander out there......Hope y'all are enjoying your day?

This afternoon,as I sat down,while reminiscing on past memories,I couldn't help but just found myself laughing at loud . The one that got me laughing real hard was an experience I had with my roommate back then in the now defunct Delta state polytechnic,ozoro...... Precisely 2013

On one fateful night,after all the stress and to and fro trekking from my off campus lodge to campus,I was so tired and didn't even notice how and when I slept off......My roommate,who was always known for his late hours movement,and party lifestyle had earlier on attended a birthday party and since I had already known him to be like that,I saw no need to be worried........OH,lemme don't forget to say the part where his father placed him under my care cuz I was way older than him . While I was playing the role of a roommate,I was equally playing the role of an elder brother for free of charge .

So this dude came back from his birthday party in the middle of the night,and the funniest part was that he didn't just come alone but came along with eight different girls......His reason was that their hostel was farther from the ceremony ground and they'd pass the night in our room....."well,I don't have any problem with that",so I said to myself.. First of all,I had to sacrifice my special bed to them, unwillingly cuz they I did that grudgingly ..But what really got me pissed off was when they went straight to my pot of Banga soup and served themselves . I was so furious but couldn't voice it out....On the inside of me,I was only waiting for morning to come so that they'd leave and so that I can equally pour my anger on my roommate....

Unfortunately,in the morning after they had left,I went to check on my pot of Banga soup and lo and behold,it was soured . My roommate was gone and the eight wereys he came along with were also gone.........Omoh,the kind of hunger wey beat me that week was out of the world and I ventured not call my father to send me another upkeep money

I waited patiently for the academic session to be over so that I could unveil my new plans .......when the next semester came,I didn't even notify him but had to go look for another room and I left him,cuz I didn't want any roommate wahala any longer

Come on guys,let's have some fun this afternoon......Who else had some funny and stupid experiences with roommate

You just took my memory down the lane.

Well, during my time 2016 precisely, i didn't pair with anyhow kind of roommate. This was because I made sure i stayed with responsible and non-cultist individual to avoid serious gbeghe. Though my roomie as at that period womanized but it was just in moderation.

Mehn how time flies.. person don dey old gradually.. nah to try dey plan life.. old age dey come.

My roommate was a very stingy girl. She's stingy to the point of starving herself cos she wants to keep seeing her naira breathing in the bank.

As a foodie, I had big cooking pots. Not too big but for a student, it was a big pot.

Initially, we tried contributing to cook, but because it's not her thing to spend money on good food, she told to stop worrying about her and do my thing.

I said ok.

So, I'd cook vegetable soup, make fish stew and keep in my small fridge.

In her presence, I'll be eating and won't invite her and she will shamelessly ask me for some. This happened again and again until I devised a plan. 😬

So, she's so allergic to goat meat. She'll run if she sees goat meat in the pot. If a restaurant cooked general food with the goat meat stock, she'll never enter their again.

After she stopped contributing to cook, I came back from school one day and saw the fridge handle stained with oil. She dey tif my food be that o.

So, I decided to always cook with goat meat and she never touched my food again.

I will enjoy my swallow with correct soup and goat meat, while she chews her boli and groundnuts.

Roommate can be a nice friend or a wicked one.

. No ....it has long been changed,and I think it's now a university,cuz the last time I took some students there during their last matric,I noticed that ..

I hosted a street friend in my house for 4 years after his aunty chased him out. I live alone in a three bedroom flat and dude had a room to himself. Omo, dude was alcoholic and womanizer. Tinubu came to power and lifestyle became very expensive. I'm used to buying foodstuffs in bulk while dude prefers 500naira shopping, I had to stop because I was feeding a 43year old man. I gave him 4months notice, dude didn't want to leave but I pressured him to. Never again

. I swear my brother.....men don dey old . Having a roomie was my worst experience back then in school..

I have so many roommates wahala when I was in school.
There was one session I rented 3 bedroom flat with 3 other students, a guy who took the master bedroom and 2 ladies who took the other room while I took the last room, naive me no know say one of the ladies was dating the guy, after renting the lady packed into the guy room and that was when our trouble begins.

Everyday fight, not small fight o, the guy Will beat the girl and she will bring out knife, I will settle and settle until I stopped interfering because na school I come. There was a day the girl carried knife and said she want to stab me because I stopped putting mouth in their wahala, she said I didn't care like say I follow them enter relationships.

Last last sha the landlady gave us quit notice

After that I had another roommate that was Bipolar, she will be very happy today and Tommorow she will be extremely sad, this girl put me on a roller-coaster of emotions because you don't know what will trigger her anger.

Then I had another roommate that was a pastor that started her own fellowship in school and as a supportive roommate, I followed her, we were like 4 in the fellowship, this same roommate saw vision for me say I will die in 1 month time and I was following to her church and praying ( didn't believe I was going to die sha )

There are so many stories but I no get time to talk everything

Well, never planed on having a roomie but later did, due to circumstances beyond my control.
We got along just fine. D only problem was she was always having friends around.
And me, I like being alone. And trust some persons to always want to over-staying their welcome and even sleep over. Haaaaa. Was so happy when she 🎓 before me. So I had my final year to myself.
She's late now though and I still miss her.

My roommate was a glutton who could devour food at any temperature. When I couldn't take it any longer, we started sharing cooked food into equal parts.

Amen 🙏🏽 and true. I still have a scar from a bike accident we got in together. I dey on my own o, na she come meet me make we go see person. And there was curfew then in Abraka bcus of cultist wahala. On our way back, vigilantee stopped our bike but bike man no gree stop. Na so he use us do Rambo style scrape our body 4 coal-tar. It wasn't funny that night.

I don't know how he does it but he no de chop, steady water drinking but if you say come chop he go de smile and happy

i finished from FUTO, my first roommate was an Mbaise boy. i love eating home meals, but this dude will leave his kero stove and be using my camping gas. the day his kerosine finished and he had no money to refill after cooking his food, i had to stay back that day i missed class just to wait and watch the food he cooked go sour. he never learnt any lesson. now tell us your story
