You Are "Salt" Of The Earth NOT "Sugar" Of The Earth. And Not Bitter Either.


YOU are to be Salty NOT sweet. And NOT Bitter either. Note: there's a difference between saltiness and bitterness. Surely this has significant spiritual implications.

Leviticus 2: 'all grain offering must be salted' and roasted by fire, and NO grain offering shall be made with leaven (yeast) or honey (sweet).

Matthew 5: 'you are the salt of the earth'.....have salt in yourselves.

Colossians 4, 'let your speech be seasoned with salt and grace'

Question then is: Why is salt preferred over sugar? Think about the natural properties of salt vs. sugar (sweet).


Salt in its inherent properties purifies, preserves, detoxifies, antiseptic, soothes/calms. Salt stings and like words that rebukes, corrects, admonishes, but it preserves life, it purifies from sin, it detoxifies of defilements, it wards off evil/sin, and while it may sting in the process, it is overall beneficial to your spiritual growth and development.

On the hand...........

Sugar sweetens and Yeast swells; but are empty calories. Sugary foods give energy for a little while, but soon enough dissipates and adds no lasting nutritional value. If consumed in excess, sugar/sweet foods are converted into fat storage which if accumulated can lead to various disease states, decay and ultimately death.

Paul and Peter spoke of false teachers and prophets who give out ‘swelling words of vanity’ (=sugar, yeast). Beware of ministers whose ministry thrive on dishing out messages meant to make you feel good and to sooth itchy ears but lead to stunted and arrested spiritual growth and inevitable spiritual death.

You yourself, take care not to be the 'sweet' Christian. Be salty, but do all with love and not out of bitterness either.

Isaiah 5.14 “hell has enlarged its mouth wide and without measure, and many multitudes with their pomp and glory shall descend into it”.

When asked if there be few that are saved? Listen to Yeshua's response, which HE effectively answers "YES".

Luke 13.23-24 “….. strive to enter through the narrow gate for “Many” (=majority in Greek) shall seek to enter but shall not”.

Matt 24.24 “Many are called (“Christians”), but few are the chosen (=true believers)”.


Yes, in any given generation, there are actually few people that are truly saved


In other words, yes, there be few that are truly saved and will thus make heaven. YES!! This means that hell is far more spacious, and most people will end up there.

Here’s a hard fast rule that you can bank on: anything or ANYONE that is trendy, going viral, popular, mainstream is not of YHVH and is the broad way to hell spoken of in scripture. Truly as it is written, the kingdom of YHVH is as a HIDDEN treasure. This implies one must ‘search out the true things of YHVH, it isn’t common and popular. And only very few bother to go on this treasure hunt because it’s hard work, straight and narrow path and not exactly entertaining content that generates customers and revenue. So much foolishness abounds in churchianity today especially on social media.

As I was browsing through googles news feed, my eyes caught an article from one ‘Christian-ish’ website. In it was about an interview with CEO of Tesla where he had reportedly (& astutely mind you) admitted that (and I paraphrase), "though he was born and baptized Anglican (protestant in U.S), he is well aware that he was (is?) a cultural Christian. And though he approves of Jesus’ teachings, he is ok with going to hell if that is his destination since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be in hell anyway ”. He dropped a truth bomb; something that majority of American evangelicals would never admit even if it kills them.

This is proof that the devil tells the truth 99% of the time. It’s the 1% lie that kills.

Of EM's admittance, how insightful & refreshingly honest. Not saying that Musk is a devil, but the point being presented here is valid. One need not be a prophet to have spiritual intelligence and to speak prophetic truth. Even unbelievers can speak the truth of scripture; and even the most evil person can indeed be a voice for the divine (even if unaware).

The people of this world (unbelievers) are wiser than so-called believers.

This is that which is written, the people of this world are far wiser than those who call themselves Christians. Luke 16.8. I see and hear this sort of great spiritual insight from non-believers more so than from so-called believers. Why is this? It is the same reason heathen, and non-Christian countries tend to fair far better in all aspects of measure of happiness, and quality of life and in the issues of ethics and morality. It’s really a sad and terrible indictment on Christianity. Take Nigeria and United States for instance. As many churches, pastors and their self-imposed titles and Christians these countries claim, yet these nations seem to be one of the most outrightly corrupt nations than atheist countries of Europe such as Finland and Denmark; and Asia such as China and North Korea.

What would happen if Christian ministers & influencers KNEW truth AND preached truth?

Monsieur Musk rightly voiced what millions of so-called Christians (especially in the west) refuse to admit; and their ear tickling preachers and influencers will not preach. Alas, there's no fame and fortune in that truth, is there? There is a special place assigned in hell for “Christians” who have actively or passively inflict great harm upon the cause of Christ and cause HIS Name to be blasphemed. Here is a great truth: most Christian ministers (or whatever self-title they impose), are going to hell too. Sure, speaking the harsh truth would most likely make them lose members, congregants, followers, audience, customers and hence will their cash cows and livelihood will be in great jeopardy. Only for to say in that day “LORD, LORD…. And only for to hear, “depart from me, I never knew you….”. Scary stuff.

Entering heaven is not automatic because you said the ‘magic words’ of salvation and ‘asked Jesus into your heart and you are saved and strolling to heaven ever so casually. Work is involved. Sorry.

Just as you apply to get a job, then get the job, then hope to do nothing and get paid AND still keep the job. Just as you won’t apply to a university to get a degree, get accepted, then do nothing and except to get high marks and graduate with a degree.

IF common sense and logic tell us such are delusional in matters of the secular and natural world, what makes one think that the spiritual world is any different? Getting saved and BEING or STAYING saved are two separate entities. It is demonic to conflate both; and claim ‘grace’ alone. It takes good work by virtue of grace to prove your salvation. Staying saved is an active ongoing process of sanctification to holiness and looking more like Christ and going from glory to glory till the day you die, or Christ returns. Those who endure to the end in this manner are the saved.

the entirety of Bible from Genesis to Revelation teach that there are specific conditions that one must meet, just as there were also conditions of the Old Covenant. The focus here will be the new covenant scriptures as many of us already know that the old covenant was known by its works of the law.

But for those who think all that ‘works of law’ was done away with in New Testament, the following scriptures will prove you wrong. Many of these conditions come in the form of admonitions and warnings. Pay particular attention to where the word ‘IF’ is used, which is indicative of conditionality. Pay specific attention to the "if", which is indicative of conditionality.

Saved BY Grace, THRU Faith, UNTO Good Works. (Eph 2.10, Jam 2.20).

Luke 6.46: Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? But IF thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments (Matt 19.16-26). You are My friends IF you do what I command you. (John 15.14). Follow peace, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD. (Heb 12.14).

2 Tim 2.12: IF we deny Him, He also will deny us. John 8.31-32: IF you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. IF anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. (Luke 9.23)

If Bible is clear on it then when did Hell begin to exist because the opening words of the Bible says:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1

And as regards tormenting humans in a place of fire God said directly to Jeremiah:

They have built the high places of Toʹpheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, something that I had not commanded and that had never even come into my heart. Jeremiah 7:31

You cannot preach grace without the law. Without the law, the gospel of grace makes no sense and has no context. Without the law, there’s no sin. Sin is deviation from the standard of the law of the LORD.

Without the law, there's no sin. IF there's no law to show sin, grace becomes an irrelevant, nonsensical concept.

# No saved sinner will make heaven.

Certain teachings promote a distorted view of grace, suggesting it operates independently of YHVH’s law. However, the new covenant does not abolish the law; rather, it affirms its role. Grace only has meaning in the context of the law, for without the law there is no sin, and without sin, no need for grace (Romans 3:20; 4:15; 5:20-21). The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law (1 Cor 15:56; Gal 3:24).

The law defines the standard, and sin is violation of the law (1 John 3:4). Faith and grace does not cancel need for good works. For you are saved by grace thru faith UNTO good works (Eph 2:8-10; James 2:10).

Reject “Greasy Grace” Teaching

Beware of doctrines that promote grace without accountability, encouraging sinful lifestyles under the guise of grace. Jesus warned against such teachers who mislead others (Matt 23:13–15).

Pursue Daily Sanctification and Endurance

• “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matt 5:48)

• “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God.” (2 Tim 2:15)

• “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and act according to His good purpose.” (Phil 2:12–13)

• “If anyone among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, he will save his soul from death.” (Jas 5:19–20)

• “Let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.” (Heb 4:1)

• “Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith.” (2 Cor 13:5)

• “Here is the patience of the saints—those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev 14:12)

Reject Cheap Grace—Salvation Is Costly

• “By the grace of God I am what I am…yet I labored more than all of them.” (1 Cor 15:10)

• “Do not receive God’s grace in vain.” (2 Cor 6:1)

• “See to it that no one misses the grace of God.” (Heb 12:15)

• “The grace of God…teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly desires and live godly lives.” (Titus 2:11–12)

• “God is able to make all grace abound to you…so you may abound in every good deed.” (2 Cor 9:8}

Endure and Confess Christ

• “Everyone who confesses Me before men, I will confess before My Father…whoever denies Me, I will deny.” (Matt 10:32–33)

• “The one who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matt 24:13)

• “Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him.” (Luke 9:26)

• “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)

True Salvation requires obedience, perseverance, and holiness, not mere profession of faith.

Luke 6:43–44; Matthew 7:21 – True disciples bear good fruit and do the Father’s will.

Ephesians 5:6; Matthew 15:7–8 – Do not be deceived by empty words; honor God with your heart, not just lips.

Galatians 3:29; 4:7; 6:9 You are heirs of promise if you belong to Christ. As sons, you inherit through God. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due time you will reap if you do not give up.

1 John 2:24 Abide in what you heard from the beginning; if it abides in you, you will abide in the Son and the Father.

1 John 4:12, 20; 1 John 1:6, 8, 10 God abides in us if we love one another. If we claim to love God yet hate our brother, we are liars. If we say we have fellowship but walk in darkness, we lie. If we deny sin, we deceive ourselves and make Him a liar.

Romans 8:16–17- The Spirit testifies that we are God’s children—and if children, then heirs with Christ—if we suffer with Him so we may also
be glorified with Him.

Romans 11:17–22- Do not be arrogant; remember, you stand by faith. If God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either. His kindness remains if you continue in it; otherwise, you will be cut off.

Revelation 2–3 calls believers to repent, remain faithful, and overcome to receive the crown of life and the promise of eternal reward. Those who overcome will not suffer the second death and will have their names secured in the Book of Life.

Revelation 12:17; 22:15 – Keep God’s commandments and the testimony of Christ.

Revelation 14:9–11 – If anyone worships the beast or receives its mark, they will face eternal judgment.

When you read the Bible and found the word "SAVED" in relation to Christians it has a deeper meaning than you think.

There are two categories of Christians. John 10:16
Jesus emphasized that the two will later become one in the future but first of all you must identify the two categories so as to have accurate knowledge of God's word.

When Jesus began his ministry what he targeted was only Jews and no other tribe! Matthew 10:6

WHY?

Because this nation have lasted for many centuries having God's temple and the sacred writings with them though they keep committing blunders but God never cancelled His promise to used this nation as priests and kings in His kingdom {Genesis 12:3} the promised child must come through this nation {Isaiah 9:6 compare to Genesis 3:15} he will teach them how to help other nations to gain salvation. Zechariah 8:23

So the position to become corulers with the Christ was reserved mainly for Jews but the nation as a whole rejected God's means of salvation which is Christ Jesus {Matthew 27:24-25} that is why the invitation to become corulers with Christ in heaven was thrown open to faithful people from other nations {John 1:11-12 compare to Matthew 22:2-14} therefore instead of holding the Jewish nation as the prophecies foretold centuries before Christ that they will become the means of salvation {Zechariah 8:23} it was revealed that God has rejected that nation and chosen another nation producing the fruit expected from the Jewish nation! Matthew 21:43
The nation that later replaced the Jewish nation is called the Israel of God or the New Jerusalem {Revelations 21:2} this selected people from all nations are also called the New Heavens because they are going to rule with Christ in heaven! John 14:1-3
They are of a limited number {Luke 12:42} but their subjects will fill the whole earth and they are the group that was always referred to as "SAVED" in the New Testament not all believers in Christ.
But why are they referred to as "SAVED" when they are not the only believers in Christ?

Well it's because of the event that will take place in the future before God give obedient humans everlasting life. By the time Jesus begins raising the dead it's this set that will be resurrected first {1Thessalonians 4:16-17} they will not resurrect with human bodies but spirit bodies {Luke 20:34-36 compare to 1Corinthans 15:44} this means they are taken to heaven immediately as they are raised from the dead! John 14:1-3

After their departure Satan and his demons will be driven out of heaven because the presence of faithful humans in heaven proves that these humans could be faithful to God despite the toughest situations they experienced on planet earth! Revelation 12:11

Later Satan and his demons will terrorise all the inhabitants of planet earth {Revelation 12:12} later Satan and his demons will be arrested and thrown into a place where they won't be able to disturb or distract anyone again this will last for a thousand years! Revelation 20:1-2

After the thousand years reign of Christ and his corulers Satan will be let loosed again because by that time all humans will have become perfect so Satan will be given his last chance to test their faithfulness to God just as he did with the first perfect human couple {Revelation 20:3} all these events won't affect anyone who has been taken to heaven with Jesus. Revelation 20:6

So from the viewpoint of God and Christ Jesus whoever is not part of the first resurrection is still liable to death {Revelation 20:5} just as Jesus looked at living people and referred to them as walking corpses {Matthew 8:22} whoever is not part of these first set of resurrected ones is still dead from God's and Christ's viewpoint.

That's why they are referred to as "SAVED" because if they are able to finish their earthly course and ministry faithfully they won't have any encounter with Satan or his demons anymore!

Hebrews 11: The Principles of Faith.

Scripture emphasizes the conditional nature of salvation:
Hebrews 4:7 – “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
Hebrews 6:4–8 – Those once enlightened who fall away cannot be renewed to repentance; if the ground yields thorns, it is cursed and burned.
Hebrews 12:8, 25 – If you lack discipline, you are illegitimate; if those who refused Him on earth did not escape, neither will we if we turn away from Him.

Hebrews 11 and Conditional Security.

Hebrews 11, often called the “Faith Hall of Fame,” reinforces the principle that salvation is not a passive status but an active, enduring faith expressed through obedience. Each example—Abel offering a better sacrifice, Noah building the ark, Abraham leaving his homeland—shows that God’s promises were fulfilled if they acted in faith. These heroes “died in faith” without turning back, illustrating perseverance as essential to receiving the promise (Heb. 11:13). Their faith produced works, aligning with the truth that we are saved by grace through faith unto good works (Eph. 2:10).
