To be fair though, these churches do organise conferences and fellowships for young men. I have been told of such, but I did not attend. The issue with marriage is that these women are super hypergamous amidst social media trends. The economy has nosedived for a decade and counting. People have lost lives and businesses. These actions affect the average young man's ability to provide. Additionally, there have been cultural changes towards the marriage institution. Some will marry, others won't.

I strongly think that a significant number of young Nigerians would love to marry earlier than usual if the economy were as pre-2015. Then again, some people have to leave Lagos so they can marry, especially if they believe their current income in Lagos cannot maintain their desired standard of living.

The reason you didn't go is the reason most men don't go. It's something singles complain about even in US.

There's a difference between organizing an event for men and catering it towards men.

Most women will enjoy these singles events but most men don't.

It's like inviting large groups of men to come watch drama. They won't go.

Is it not polygamy that turn that religion to baby factory for banditry and terrorism recruitment center? Don't you always surprise large population of bandits and Islamic terrorists that are group members moving together to behead and kill? Many Alfas will marry multiple wives and throw responsibilities to individual wife to carry children responsibility. Is there any country of the world that don't have Islamic terrorists fighting them or detonating bombs? Most of these terrorists are recruit from multiple children they born from multiple wives and indoctrinated to kill for allah to collect 72 virgins.

Despite Islam population is not up to that of christian worldwide, yet the whole world can feel negative impact of Islamic terrorism, u and violent Fullani herders who adopt different names and style to carry out their own jihad. If they are struggling to tame down a reasonable spouse, they should opt for getting pregnant and raising the kids themselves or else they die childless (a sizeable percentage will fall into this category too)
Another option is to swallow their pride and date/marry down. There are many men poverty has humbled who are really hardworking.
I know how hard going down to pick a spouse for ladies because going down looks as if they have failed and not getting who they really like or attractive but it is what it is.
Life humbles us all at one point or another.
They date down, raise a loan or get a cooperative for the man to start something so that he can be contributing a quota at home no matter what.
Men date down all the time and heaven didn't fall. We set-up ladies, sponsor them to school, open businesses for them and heaven didn't fall.

The bold are well noted. One of my lecturers in uni obviously married down because her dad was a big professor (currently in government) and her two siblings reside in the US. The man wasn't the rich type, but they are married with a child.

There are many single women in Abuja. I have read comments about the high number of single ladies in their 30s who reside in that city. Why do you want to move to Lagos to find a wife when there are many of them in your city?
