How was day... hope it went well.
Okay.

This is one of the most annoying questions I have every seen , for a human being that underwent any form of training or apprenticeship is qualified to be called a chef , the way the food was placed, each complimenting the other is enough to know the person knows what they are doing habaa.

this is the BEST Way to actually learn catering, leave all those culinary school alone, whenever you choose to go to a culinary school it would just be for certification only..... My uncle was employed as a kitchen assistant in a Luxury cruise ship like 40yeard ago, man rose to become a head chef in the cruise line, to becoming A 3-star Michelin chef... If I tell you places he has worked and dignitaries around the world he has catered for u will be Suprised.. Catering is first hands on before certification.
Wow, I hope to get to the top of my career too someday..
Link me to your uncle Na 🥺

This is pure wickedness to be honest with you. In this hard economic times, you decided to tempt us with all these exotic and sumptuous Nigerian dishes. Do you know the number of people that will salivate on these dishes ontop of hunger?

And you're doing all these without give away. Please be kind to our emotions kiss

Good try, though grin

As an African man wey we be, we eat heavily. Abi you don't know the amount of pounds Africa situation dey comot for our body?

If I visit ya place, you shall use a bigger plate and fill it proper before we go like you. You can't give me something delicious and be expecting me to eat just small...

Wehdon o...
Lol, thanks for the compliments Sir.
But, there's a believe that a meal loses it quality if the quantity is excess cry

Oga, Your apprenticeship doesn't qualify you to be calling yourself a Chef, else our grannies with good culinary skills will also say they are Chefs...to be a Chef you MUST pass through a culinary school, graduate and be awarded your Certificate or Degree, period.
I understand you,
I have interviewed people with culinary certificates and they can barely prepare basic (mice em place) or have little or know knowledge on how to manage a kitchen...
Being able to manage a kitchen, create menus, evaluate costing of meals, manage staffs and many more makes one chef.
There's a vast difference between a cook and a chef..

Tank you for the defence..
People can be so funny.
They are comparing someone with 6 yeard hands-on experience with someone that went to catering school for few months.. lol..
It's just funny

That's the missing link in the Nigeria system of education. Most of the technical skills for our daily activities are not learned in schools. Imagine shoe cobbler, pop ceilings, electrical wiring of houses, tailoring, etc schooling could be a waste of time if you truly need a skill.
Pure truth my brother..
If I had taken the field when I wrote my jamb in 2015, by now, I'd be a big Chef..
Well, Food Technology isn't entirely a waste as I'm infusing some knowledge of food technology into my current field
