I could have added Graven's ball-carrying, manipulation, control in tight spaces, on-ball decision making. They have different attributes. A manager will make his preference based on the style. If you're ghen ghen pressing & playing chaos football ofcourse, Caicedo is your man. Is that what City or Barca play?

I'm not making excuses for Graven. His own manager moved him to play CB within the game obviously to force you guys to press them higher or deeper so that they could beat that press and have spaces behind you to exploit. He didn't start at CB.

Also, Caicedo is a CM who has been doing the ball-winning duties for you guys. But you've always needed someone creative and press-resistant around him, why? It's because he's deficient in that regard. That's why Lavia had to come on.

No he is not a bad player individually but anyone with the mind of a coach knows he unbalances the Liverpool team which is based on 3 robust CMs all equally hardworking and fairly creative who sit deep and allow their wingers to play in a traditional 4-3-3. He is a pampered AM who wants two midfielders behind him and to be the centre of attention when Liverpool game is about getting the ball quickly to the wings for Salah to isolate the fullback rather than for an AM to be touching ball upandan. How Capaldi missed this shows he no know ball. That's why I reduced Liverpools chance of winning the league, just based on the addition of Wirtz alone. He actually weakens them, until the day Salah leaves the club and they change approach from wings to AM.
