It’s with a heavy heart that I write this. On the night of October 1st, around 11 p.m., a dear friend and colleague was kidnapped and brutally murdered in front of his own children.

He was shot and stabbed, and as if that horror wasn’t enough, his three innocent kids were taken away by the assailants. We still don’t know their whereabouts.

No matter the offence or misunderstanding anyone might have had with their father, children are innocent and should never be made victims of such wickedness. No child deserves to witness their father’s murder or to be dragged into a world of trauma and fear.

We are pleading with everyone — the Nigerian Police, security agencies, and concerned citizens — to please help us in the search for the missing children.
Please, if anyone has any useful information or sightings, report immediately to the nearest police station.

Let’s also remember the wife he left behind, currently nursing a baby, in our prayers. She needs strength and comfort beyond human understanding.

It happened in Abuja. It made front page. Bandits/terrorists operating from the border between Niger state and FCT carried out the attack. It's an evil that must be condemned and tackled, not politicized and sensationalized, because it will affect us all one way or another.
