This Iyaloja of a thing, is it in our constitution? What is the benefit of Iyaloja to communities and our society? Under what power or authority is the President daughter jumping up and down interfering with local markets issues, this is under the purview of the local government authorities. This is an embarrassment to the president, I mean the constitution is clear, the president's children have no role under our constitution, they have no powers. The president should stop tarnishing his image, and building resentment against his 2027 aspirations by calling her to order. A people that value their culture takes it very seriously, it is the most important thing to them. A people have their culture, and traditions, especially cultures like Benin that have existed for thousands of years, even before the British nation that colonised this entity came into existence, how does a young lady think she can overturn that, just because her dad is the president...she needs to focus on charity work, and stop provoking people by forcing alien culture on them. All she has managed to do, is build resentment against her father's reelection among the Edo people. |

She has been the iyaloja long before her father became president. Her mother was Iyaloja. Wetin concern the president with that one? Was he the one who appointed her Iyaloja. You just came here running your mouth because of what happened in Benin. Will it break your neck to read up more about the position of the iyaloja and find out how she became iyaloja before making noise? She was even iyaloja before the current Oba of Benin accended the throne. Try dey know something before you start dey make noise... Why do you expect that the president will just come and shut down the office of iyaloja. A position his own mother held while she was alive for no reason at all. |

Exousiang01:Restrict it to the states that wants it, without the president, she won't have energy to do what she is doing, she can only do that because her dad is the president. I repeat she has no powers under the constitution to interfere in market issues, this is a democracy we coexist via a constitution. If you don't have anything to say move on. I don't have any interest in the title, it's a Yoruba word, and should be restricted to states and people who want it, I don't have any interest or business to look it up. Nobody is saying she can't have whatever group or position she likes to ascribe to herself, but she can't be going round provoking people, nobody cares about her title we care about the constitution...in a democracy you can't go beyond your previledges provided to you by the constitution, the constitution does not give her the title, this is my point, she is only causing confusion and animosity with this unnecessary movements. She should focus on useful things, a people have their culture. We are not the same, if you accept shit shoved down your throat not everybody is you, our tribes are different, our thinking are different, only thing that brought us together is the constitution, which we must follow... otherwise it's chaos. |

Can anyone show me in the constitution where this power lies? |

dederocs:This is why I am telling you not to be ignorant. She has been doing this long before her father became president. Will it kill you to get little knowledge about something before speaking about it? Her mother was also Iyaloja. It has nothing to do with her father being the president. Please don't quote me if you can't bring yourself to acquire basic knowledge about something you want to speak about |

Exousiang01:not everyone has a slave or stooge mentality. I clearly told you that I don't care about the position, it is ceremonial, since it's not constitutional... comprehension should be easy. The position is inconsequential to me, my issue is she trying to export it to other geographic zones, it is a yoruba word, alien to others...the title has no meaning to me. |

Exousiang01:First and foremost it was late alhaja that was iyaloja not her mother. Let's put it as her adopted grandmother because we know very well alhaja isn't amoda biological mother. Secondly their iyaloja general stops in Lagos and whichever part if Yoruba land is interested. It doesn't extend to Edo state. Why did her late adopted grandmother not come to Edo to start installing rubbish. Or did we hear of alhaja stepping into Edo or north or even kwara to install any nonsense title? Better don't come and start saying what you don't know. Someone that her father isn't even a true lagosian trying to colonise Edo voters, very soon they'll send MC oluomo to threaten Edo people to vote APC. |

Jokerman:That's the lie they have been telling for years, the same people constantly attack the Igbos for matters that only concerns Igbos in another region outside Igbo land like Ohaneze or Eze ndigbo, but they are the real dis-respecters of people's culture, tradition and society. Look at Iyaloja here that her position is supposed to be restricted to just Lagos and maybe a few Yoruba states is imposing leadership and disrespecting other cultures and tradition in different parts of Nigeria, and guess what, these same Yorubas are all quiet and some even coming to to support it. Then you look at the case of the Emir of Kano, Tinubu has ensured there are 2 Emirs till date, something that is a state issue, they are busy disrespecting the Kano emirates and their culture, still the doings of a Yoruba man and they are all quiet and and some still supporting him. Then you look at the case of Rivers state, You removed a sitting governor and appointed a man from another state against the wish of the people of the state, these very same Yorubas were all quiet and a lot supported it. Now pause for a moment and imagine if the people who did all these were Igbos, even the media will start writing articles about how the Igbos plotted coup to dominate Nigeria and this is likely a repeat of what happened then, I'm telling you that with what Tinubu and the Yorubas have done presently to other Nigerians if it were to be Igbos doing same under Peter Obi or any Igbo president, Igbos may have been attacked in the north and south west. The Yorubas would have been all over the place shouting out their voices how Igbos like to dominate and so on, that's why I don't believe whatever they say about the Kaduna Nzeogwu coup that it was an Igbo coup. From what I've learned from them, they are only looking for an action to blame the Igbos even if the action is good, and that false thing they are blaming the Igbos for is actually what they are doing or planning to do if they have the opportunity like Tinubu's presidency. Like I do say, Tinubu's presidency exposed a whole lot in Nigeria especially from the Yorubas... |

Jokerman:It's an affront and a disrespect to the great people of Edo state and their traditions, they miscalculated on this. |

OneCandleAway:Don't mind the stooge, he left the point I was making to say something else...my point was clear and simple, she has no right to take it to other states, it is an affront and disrespect, she was tolerated because she is the president's daughter, but her efforts were in futility, she only created resentment for her family among Edo people. |
