Emilakan!

"Presidency is not a bricklaying job. It doesn't require physical strength. What is needed is his brain. He can build the nation the way he built Lagos."

But I don't believe that Nigeria is number one in the ranking. I don't believe that standard of living is higher in Ghana and some other African countries.

Our people should be happy now

At least the statistics they love to see about Nigeria is out now

Let see how proud are you compared to rest of the world.

If you project yourselves as animals then people will see you animals

Life expectancy is low because of

Poor health sector : government doesnโ€™t make adequate investment in the public health sector . Even Aso rock clinic is not spared. Also qualified doctors are leaving the country, leaving behind the quarks .

Stress: living in Nigeria is stressful . There is always one stumbling block or the other that the system will place on your way to success. Customs, police, road safety , nafdac, LABSCA with their demolitions, etc will find a way to make your life miserable resulting in emotional worry and distress which can spike your Blood pressure

Low education : A good population of Nigerians are not educated to know what is good or not good for their health .

Poverty : many cannot afford drugs for their illness. BP DRUGS , Diabetes drugs etc are now more than the minimum wage

Another milestone under uncle yekini. It is easy to see why. Projects that do not improve quality of life but swell pockets of contractors and awarding officials.

Even with all the taxes and subsidies cut, increase in prices of goods and services, praises from IMF of Tinubu's reforms, GDP increase, and all his revenue target? Man is in deep shock. APC living in denial.

Again, how did they come about this? And are they trying to say we're worse off than the war torn Palestine? That's not possible, hence I'm taking it with a pinch of salt

To those rejoicing about the news, cos it's bad news and fits into their expectations, continue. Indeed, we're our own problem undecided

realities such as these arent bendable by projections. They said the truth. Just few days ago i was watching a clip about Burundi being one of the poorest nations on earth. Yes they are poor but they can afford the basics of life far better than we can.

Buhari should be immortalised with N10,000 note for making the naira useless.

Lagos Resident Laments Economic Hardship, Hunger Under Tinubu, Confesses To Beating Elderly People, Others To Make Tinubu President

A Lagos state resident has lamented his inability to get petroleum despite beating people including the elderly to vote for President Bola Tinubu in 2023.

In a video posted on social media, he narrated how life had been hard for him despite all he did to ensure Tinubu became Nigeriaโ€™s President.

He said, โ€œWe wanted to buy fuel but we have been unable to get. They even beat us at the petroleum station. I was among those that beat people at Idi-Oro.

โ€œWe went from house to house, asking people to vote for you (referring to Tinubu). You emerged as the President and now you are destroying our lives. Getting food to eat is difficult for us.โ€

He noted that despite the hardship, different agencies in the state have kept milking them through taxation.

"I voted for Jagaban, I was among those that flogged people we refused to vote Tinubu at Idi-oro. We went from House to House attacking people who didn't vote for Jagaban, Today I am regrettingโ€.

He said, โ€œWe are suffering in Nigeria, we have become lazy even in our own fatherโ€™s land. We are drivers and thatโ€™s how we survive. LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Agency), VIO (Vehicle Inspection Office) all collect money from us. Please Tinubu, do something about this hardship.

โ€œWe are the same people that beat up others so you could become the President. Some of them people we beat were our fatherโ€™s mates, but we beat them up. We did that just because of you so you could become the President, and we kept saying it was our turn.

โ€œLook at it now, the outcome is suffering, we cannot even buy rice again. You cannot buy N1000 food and be okay. I bought food of N1200 today and my kids have not eaten at home.โ€

He also expressed worry that he would be beaten for the comments he was making about Tinubu.

โ€œI know that what I have said now, they will still come to beat me at home. I know that for sure,โ€ he said.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeriaโ€™s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubuโ€™s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, โ€œI think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

โ€œBut it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

โ€œIf we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.โ€

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity realโ€” Tinubu

According to him: โ€œThe theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.โ€

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: โ€œI am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians faceโ€”rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
