So if someone bears the title Rabbi or Father or Master publicly it's the attachment Jesus is condemning that's what we need to learn. Those titles in the first century are the ones Jewish religious leaders bear do you think their attitude as Jesus stated differs from those attaching titles to their names today?

Jewish Religious leaders did not bear Apostles and Pastor.
These are ministerial titles that God called his servants unto.
Paul was an Apostle and he addressed himself as such.

Ephesians approves the use of the title Apostle or Pastor as long as you were called by God to it.

Mathew 23 does not condemn use of Ministerial titles. It was specific on the Jewish titles. Rabbi, Father and Master.

There are better verses to push your points, not Matthew 23. You will end up twisting the words of Christ.

It's like the old quote- religion is the opium of the masses.

It seems people would follow any lunatic as far as they say something pro-christian even if that person is actively working against their interest. Pointing towards people who are openly racist to blacks as a reason why we should go to church does not make sense.

You still don't get it.

Titles attached our names is what Jesus taught us to always avoid so in the first century none of Jesus' followers attached titles to their names.

Whatever title you call it as long as it's recognizable publicly Christians don't bear it what we do is act as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers {Ephesians 4:11} but never to attach such titles to our names publicly.

Jesus himself did exactly the same when he walked the earth he restricted his disciples from attaching his office to his name. For instance Jesus is the Christ so he warned them never to attach that title to his name until he is gone. Matthew 16:20
That is exactly the same thing he taught his disciples so none of them bears the titles publicly as they mix up with their fellow believers as brothers! Matthew 23:8
True Christians have all these offices in our midst today but you can't hear any of us bear the title in the public only our fellow believers knows our assignment in the congregation.

Visiting a worship center doesn't make a visitor Christian rather it's accepting the teachings {Matthew 7:24-27} making it part of you {Luke 11:27-28} and joining other disciples to proclaim the message in your neighborhood {Matthew 10:11-13; Luke 10:6} that makes you a disciple of Jesus (Christian)

Of course hearing the word of God starts from those sent to preach to you in your homes {Romans 10:15 compare to Matthew 10:11-13} it's not the other way around those sent should go to find the sheep it's after hearing them out that faith comes to visit their place of worship! Romans 10:17

Whether you preach in homes or church congregation, the important thing is to preach the word. I don't have an issue with the location. And if more people are going to church how is that a bad thing?

When people just feel like going to one worship center without being preached to then it's not about Christianity because Christians talk to people about God's Kingdom {Matthew 10:7} that is the message that leads to true faith in Christ!
