Kilishihunter:Na why I no too dey vex for all these rubbish performances. Chief of all Araujo's brain fart day give me small joy before the werey go do am for Quarters or semi finals. Just kill any hope wey Flick get say him go later turn up. This January Deco better be thinking of how to get reinforcements for our defence..... Cos with this same shite I'm seeing, we no dey go anywhere. |

jpmoriarti:Highline is our problem. Teams have decoded the Highline and if we don't change our tactics, we will keep losing. |

Thoth02:It's lack of intensity from our players. For highline to work, you need to be highly intense off the ball. Injuries to Raphinha, Gavi and Fermin Lopez has costed us crucial point of pressing. If you don't pressure well, then the opponents gets more time on the ball and are able to thread passes behind our highline. |

I said it that there’s prob something wrong with the team during the last match against PSG. Even during Setien and Koeman era that the boys literally looks like someone begged to play football I’ve never seen Barcelona player acted less concerned like they did against that PSG in that second half. Same thing literally played out today. It’s as if they lost zeal and passion or something. We’ve had much worse squad but the passion and zeal from the players has always helped us as a team. I don’t know what the problem is but I hope Hansi Flick can get to the root of it. Even Kounde isn’t really active like he used to be and the only player I think is really doing everything possible to help the team in the last two matches has been Garcia. The performance has been an eyesore. The squad isn’t filled with some amateurs or something, from the attack down to the keeper are all great players with quite great experience so I don’t know what exactly is happening. Gradually returning to Koeman era. God abeg o. 😢😢 |

abduleez1:We'll be fine once key players start returning but we need depth to avoid too much fatigue worrying us like this moment, a full back or trying for guehi can go a long way if not save up for a big summer to avoid flick walking away like at Bayern |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:27pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
jpmoriarti:I thought you guys don't like Gavi... Everyone preferred olmo last season. Make una relax.. we will get back to winning ways. After the international break. I refuse to blame Araujo for the penalty, The team still conceded two without him in the second half. |

Kilishihunter:The game was lost in the first half. You guys don't look at the tiny details in Footie. Barca under Flick is known for pressing teams in the first few minutes, get early goal and continue to pile on the pressure and eventually finish them off. If you watched the first half you'll notice that there was extremely poor pressure in the first few minutes. Sevilla had over 60% of the ball in that period and eventually took the lead, this has never happened before under Flick. Over 60% possession in the first 20 minutes. You think this is a coincidence? Barca had Dejong, Rashford, Ferran, Araujo and Daniela Lomo on the pitch. These guys can't press effectively and you'll lose games when they're so many of them on the pitch. Rashford is exactly the player Barca did not need. He's a lackluster player that'll show up here and there. He's like Joa Felix, he shows up when he wants not when it's time. Lewy missed a pen yes but this game was lost in the first few moments. I reiterate, Rashford has spoilt the pressing game at Barca, once he's dropped, Barca will regain their shape. At least players like bum Dejong, Ferran, Danileo Olomo already know the system. But you see Rashord, just wait small lol. Give it time ![]() |

Iqtest:This quote just lets me know you can never make it as a coach. The high line basically ensures the opponents have to be pin points with their plays. No room for complacency. If you sit deep with your "bad defence" you are just opening up your team for more pressure and what do bad defences do under pressure? |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:30pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Osebanjo:Two of Sevilla's goals came from a cross, ground cross from the wing. PSG's second goal was same, ground cross from the wing. We conceded two goals against inter Milan same way.. ground cross from the wing. Highline is the problem. Can't Hansi flick see the pattern, it's time to change the pattern of defending. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:35pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
AirBere:You see the stupid coach may start benching Raphinha for Rashford because of these few plays and deceitful assist and goals. Yamal and Raphinha had a connection last season. That connection must be brought back. Rashford is just here to scatter this team, I swear... No good link up play, can't hold possession. Nothing. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:39pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
I remember once with Ernesto Valverde as our coach, don't know if I got his name right. Ernesto Valverde was very practical about defending. We were able to defend and still attack, there was nothing like highline and we still maintained our Tiki-Taka system of football.. Messi and Dembele and Suarez were still in the team.. I remember vividly. As long as we play highline we gonna concede.. I have accepted this.. And we don't have that attack to outscore opponents anymore. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by AirBere: 6:43pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Thoth02:He doesn't understand the system and he's known to be lacklustre right from his time in the EPL. There's a reason why United fans celebrated his departure. Who no Sabi Rashord lol. I like Flick and wanted him at Chelsea but it seems he's not that adaptable and doesn't learn and observe weaklings ![]() I'll keep observing him 🤔 |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 6:46pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
AirBere:Rashford would likely be sent back at the end of his loan most of us didn't want him above Nico here in the first place but I'll still reiterate our problems are more than his atm Our highline is no longer as effective as before, defence weakened, we're now more fatigued and susceptible to injuries, we're also not as clinical as last season plus poor depth in our squad |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 6:48pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Thoth02:And how did it end with valverde? Back to back UCL knockout humiliations, even if we sit back we'll invite pressure which a clinical team would deal with us, we just need to tweak some things like maybe making the high line shorter sometimes and improving our press |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 6:50pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Olmo should keep on bidding his time, there's dro and guille Fernandez waiting in the academy |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:50pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Kilishihunter:Except for the Liverpool humiliation... We were not conceding goals too much.. And how has it being for us now with the Highline? Have we won the UCL ? |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 6:53pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
With this highline Chelsea and Madrid might even beat us.. Make I Dey observe. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 6:54pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Thoth02:You've forgotten how we bottled a 4-1 first leg lead to lose 3-0 to Roma? As for your question we've not won the UCL and we may not even win it this season but let's pretend like we were ever in contention before flick came and changed our lives, of every favourite in the competition it's us that have spent the less since he came |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by AirBere: 6:54pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Kilishihunter:I know he'll be sent back but like Felix, he wasn't needed. The system needed protection and when you add a player like Rashford to other bums like Ferran, Daniella and Araujo etc, you're asking for too much trouble. He's not the only problem though but he's a big issue trust me. And by May you'll see it because Barca will continue to drop more points because of poor pressure on the ball. Flick isn't gonna change. As such, the pressing system is gone. It has collapsed completely. He's a player that Barca did not need at all. If he wasn't available, Barca would've played better. Toni Fernandez/Dro/etc understands the system better and would've offered more. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Thoth02: 7:11pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Kilishihunter:okay, let's be watching. If we don't change the Highline, nothing for us. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by coded01: 7:13pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
That 4-1 loss showed how much Barca missed Lamine Yamal, despite his age, his presence was truly felt in absence. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 7:16pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Thoth02:We might need to reduce it just like we did against Newcastle and oviedo since we're getting fatigue related issues from pressing |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 7:17pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
coded01:Not just lamine, raphinha too, playing without the two of them at once is a recipe for trouble |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Iqtest: 7:20pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Kilishihunter:Nico is just a vibes and inshallah player. He's meant for a small team like Kubo and Mitoma - he won't make it at Barcelona. I've never seen him shine in a big game. Rashford is a big-game player who steps up when you need him the most. Are you really falling for propaganda from a Chelsea fan whose opinion is blinded by hate? |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by AirBere: 7:25pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
meanwhile, where's my guy Andrewbaba. Shey na this Araujo you wanted against PSG abi looool..I swear, Barca would've been embarrassed sooooo baaaad if he started that game. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Iqtest: 7:27pm On Oct 05, 2025 |
Yamal this, Yamal that - wasn't Yamal available against PSG? Didn't we also lose to some freaking unknown academy players with Yamal on the pitch? But sure, let's pretend Flick's high line isn't trash and put all the blame on Rashford and De Jong. |

Making szsneszy our 2nd choice ahead of ter stegen might genuinely be the most horrible take I've seen Szsneszy is so ass in build up |

Kilishihunter:Bro you know why the PSG did not pain me.. Because it was a group stage match. Imagine conceding four goals in the first leg of the UCL due to highline? Good all these is happening in laliga. Highline must be totally stopped.. |
