Medicine after death. After killing thousands of Nigeria youths in the army This is a taste of what is to come should Nigeria go into regionalism. The fulanis will call up there reserve in lagos, ibadan, akure and Oshogbo. To fight for federalism Nigeria under a democratic system won't last. Let the rulers listen only regional system can save and develop Nigerians. |

Had it been the United States senator and others didn't magnify the bloodshed going on in the country, believe me we wouldn't be seeing this kind of news, there will be silence everywhere. |

That won't happen because oil is not found in northeast ..moreover if he decides to declare emergency rule and retain the governors of the affected state ..people will see it as double standard...because of the manner he declared emergency rule in rivers state |

When 90% of Nigeria's population has been wiped out by bokoharam and bandits, maybe that's when Nigeria will really sit up and do something about the menace. |

See how they endanger their own people.. Borno governor blames the army for not securing it's border. Now the same army generals are backing a call for SOE |

You guys want Tinubu to lose the election by saying he's anti democratic by appointing you soldiers as sole administrators. Did Buhari you served under allow for state of emergency? Where there not bokoharam attacks? Tinubu is wiser than all of you put together |

Declaring a state of emergency won’t solve it unless the government tackles the root causes — corruption, poor intelligence, and weak local security coordination. |

There's no oil in the North East. Besides, Nigeria is safe. Why should Tinubu declare a SOE? ![]() I see one ad they're projecting on DSTV, one hope initiative group like that. They say Nigeria is now safe and they made videos of farmers in their farms. I don't know if that's propaganda or an effort to paint a positive image of Nigeria. But I believe investors are smarter. They won't make investment decisions by watching NTA or recorded programs on DsTV. Social media is there for them now to help them make such decisions. Them say garri no need advert. If you're doing a good job, majority of the citizens would sing your praises. It doesn't have to always be sycophants. Also, there won't be need for excessive video editing. |

The security forces are also part of the problem |

They are retired. When they were in active duty why didn't they use the state of emergency? Why didn't they solve the problem if they knew so much |

| Re: Boko Haram: Retired Generals Back Calls For State Of Emergency by Edoreborn: 2:08pm On Oct 06, 2025 |
Hard way is d only way..Its a welcome development..if not d state governor will just be collecting security vote without anything to show for it..Zulum and other past governors of borno state are the richest so far..Collecting allocation here and there,,even from the rich and wealthy nigerians who pledges their support.. Nothing to show for it |

Hope this wasn't the intention all along. To accommodate Boko Haram with d intention of emergency rule. We have nothing to do with military. I don't blame them though I blame Tinubu 4 d emergency rule in rivers. Politics don bring wahala |

This comment is bother senseless n foolish. Both Ebele n Buharibdeclared state of emergency with any senseless zionist paid senator from USA spoke about killing in Nigeria. You can even castigate Tinubu as failure if you like but learn to use your head praising all this western imperialist that are only after your natural resource. USA as never wanted any good for any country that does not benefit it, it only favour the zionist country of isreal because of AIPAC outsmarting all US politicians. Biglittlelois: |

When there is political will, government will take the decision to do what Jonathan did, ie to invite Col Eeben barlow and his team to come an settle the boko haram and fulani terrorists issue once and for all. Hopefully those men have not grown too old to perform. The longer it takes the older those gallent men with technical skills are getting. . |

Nigeria lacks the commitment and intention to focus on this insecurity and end it… They are doing little to resolve this issue… Are you saying they can’t deploy and invest in the right tools, technology to fish out this killers and their sponsors and end them It’s obvious this terrorists are in government |
| Re: Boko Haram: Retired Generals Back Calls For State Of Emergency by Samogloby: 2:20pm On Oct 06, 2025 |
How many times will they declare state of emergency on boko haram, simply say Tinubu govt lack direction on how to fight terrorists in Nigeria. Kidnapping from South West to Unknown Gun Men in South East to South South. Insecurity in North Central especially in Benue and Plateau States and recently Kwara moving to Kogi through Yagba to North East and North West full of boko haram and other non state elements |

Nigeria is a failed state. It's sad to see that even the army, especially those in active service, have traded the respect for army for their personal gains. What's happening in Nigeria is more than enough to cause am upheaval |

Why He Was In Service Why Didn't He Declare The State of Emergency? |
| Re: Boko Haram: Retired Generals Back Calls For State Of Emergency by DeLaRue: 2:22pm On Oct 06, 2025 |
The challenge is probably too widespread for a state of emergency to be effective. Niger state alone is bigger than many countries. Kwara, Bornu, Jigawa, Kogi, Sokoto have large geographical spread. If you declare a state of emergency in one, how about the others. The terrorists are very mobile. The move from state to state easily. Nigeria simply doesn't have enough army personnel to manage a state of emergency in more than 2 of these large states at the same time. |
