Lagos state laws must be so unique from other part of Africa and the world. Does the same law also permit the below? Tokunbo needs to shed more light on Lagos laws. If not sheer incompetence, where does contraventions stand in Lagos priorities. Education is decaying and it’s even the private sector that is making up for the incompetence of the government. Healthcare in shambles. General hospitals are are like slaughter houses, and security is nothing to write about They just pick up irrelevant priorities to make it look as it they working. In 2025, a state with over Five Trillion Naira in debt but can’t boast of just clean pipe borne water across the small land mass. Massive IGR, Debt and FG allocation with absolutely nothing to show for it. Not even a world class university. LASU sitting there like a modernized cattle ranch. Everything just going backwards in Lagos, and when you talk, fellow Lagosians will still defend them. We not even competing with the world at these point. Can we compete in Africa? Big NO!

abc115:The ways you guys get opinions in what is happening in other people states. By the way. Lagos being the former FCT was built and developed by FG together with hardworking and contribution of Nigerians. What is your opinion on Kwara killings especially in the Southern parts of kwara that is home of indigenous Yorubas there ? Why are you guys silent ? |

madridguy:What is opinion on Kwara state killings ? Leave Lagos alone! Everyday, terrorists are killing people in kwara. Even kwara state people has abandon their villages to come and stay in Lagos as refugees. You might be one of them. |

Mr. Commissioner, you’re also part of the Tom, Dick and Harry. APC’s time in Lagos is coming to an end, sooner or later. |

abc115:This motor park tout thinks he can intimidate Ndigbo in Lagos........he is just pushing his luck! Trade fair belongs to the federal government.......this misfit was probably in primary or secondary school when the traders left Lagos island in 1995 ( 30 years ago) to get a lease from FG ...........only a complete slowpoke will destroy another man's work in the name of intimidation! Wahab or whatever dis nutcase is called should be very careful.......to take care of his matter is really not difficult!: |

stanluiz:So because Lagos is a former FCT, it should be left ungoverned? Its lawlessness and lawlessness is evil to any society. Leave Kwara, lets finish the discussion on Lagos, stop the distractions |

Eboofa:This is a threat to him and you can be tracked to provide further explanation . Lagos State is saying development approvals must be obtained from the State, they cited the court judgement that have cleared this. My point is that if they will not obey Lagos State, they should have gone to court to protect themselves. This Nzogbu Nzogbu approach will always lead to premium tears. So sad |

It is rude and disrespectful to refer to a Senator of the Federal Republic as "every tom, dick, and harry". Nigeria has got only 109 Senators and it is both irresponsible and provocative to refer to a Senator in such derogatory terms. That Abia State Governor or Anambra State pulled down properties illegally built on water ways cannot be a justification for Lagos State Government to illegally move into a facility owned by the Federal Government and begin to pull down legally acquired properties which people have laboured through their own sweat, blood, even borrowed funds to develop |

Your divide and rules tactics is no longer working so go and rest. It is not a must he say something about the killings in Kwara state. He is not a commissioner in Kwara state or the governor of Kwara State. Meanwhile, Kwara people are not running to Lagos State, they are either in another town or ilorin the capital living at the camp there. They are not like you people. stanluiz: |

It has become obvious the state government is mischievously targeting the igbos. Why? Because they are scared of being dominated by the igbos. The fact is the Almighty Creator is with the igbos and no body can stop them from shining and dominating, |

PaChukwudi44:All these bragging wont rebuild those properties or other properties that maybe affected tomorrow. Use your brain not your muscles. Why on earth has the Traders not gone to court to challenge Lagos State and protect themselves since the dispute began, which is not today. On your threat on Lagos, I think you people should never start what you cant finish. |

Lifestone:What you typed here is irrelevant, The question is why are they targeting the igbos? Igbos are law abiding. How does maliciously destroying properties belonging to Igbos mean cleaning up Lagos |

It is not in doubt that Tokunbo Wahab has a deep seated hatred for Igbos, because he believes they import trash, and label it his name "Tokunbo". Anyway, what else do you expect from a Tokunbo? |
| Re: Lagos Commissioner For Environment, Tokunbo Wahab Replies Senator Umeh by Lifestone(m): 4:53am On Oct 07, 2025 |
chucks185:As your ranting is irrelevant. why wont these set of Igbos be law abiding? Why are you always shouting victimization when you are not the only one in Yorubaland? Haba, Na only you? Those buildings lack building approvals and instead of using your brain, you resorted to Nzogbu Nzogbu |

His is a dumb response. Senator Umeh said that the land these people moved to to demolish people's buildings was a land owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria and that Lagos State government has no jurisdictions over it. He said he's a surveyor and a member of senate committee on land administration. The senator also said that an independent establishment issues all documents for building on that land. Alhaji Wahab should've answered that. Stop justifying stupid actions with whataboutisms. |
