Here we go again! FIFA has punished SA and has deducted 3 points from her points for fielding an ineligible player against Lesotho, and all of a sudden, hope has risen for Nigeria.

Unfortunately however, the Eagles will not still qualify!

The bitter truth!

As a Nigerian, I don’t wish for that. I want the country that has invested more in football to qualify.

It’s completely wrong for Zimbabwe to play their home game in South Africa, given that both Zimbabwe and South Africa are in the same qualifying group. FIFA is also wrong for approving this decision. It gives South Africa an undue advantage over the other countries in the group. Zimbabwe can never beat South Africa in Durban, South Africa — it just won’t happen!
Not an excuse, if we had avoided those stupid draws we would have qualified since

Wow the two loving country
These countries love each other so well
But nevertheless I am supporting my country
There is no how Lesotho will win Nigeria.

I wasn't making an excuse for Nigeria. How does it make sense for any country to play its home games in a competitor's country? FIFA should never have acceded to that — that's my point.

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has made two changes to his squad to face Lesotho and Benin Republic in their last two 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Chelle has been forced to make the changes due to injuries.

Zaidu Sanusi replaces Bright Osayi-Samuel, while Uche Christantus will take the place of Cyriel Dessers.

This is still South Africa's ticket to win

And they are in pole position.

Unless they are jinxed or just outright hopeless, I don't see Bafana Bafana losing their last two matches played at 'home'.

The best the Eagles can get out of that group is a second finish.

Do not waste your hopes and expectations dear comrades. We wasted our qualification chances.

It is over.

FIFA WCQ: Nigeria’s REAL problem REVEALED!

Let’s be honest: 9 goals in 8 games for a team boasting Victor Osimhen, Lookman, Simon, and Iwobi isn’t good enough.

Here’s the shocking part: Osimhen leads Nigeria’s scoring with just 3 goals, and next on the list? Calvin Bassey… with 1. Yes, a defender.

Meanwhile, Dennis Bouanga of Gabon has scored 8 goals on his own, just one fewer than Nigeria as a team. And Mo Salah? He’s sitting on 7.

That’s not just a stat — it’s a statement. We scored just 3 goals in 3 matches against Zimbabwe (2) and Lesotho (1), with two of the 3 games at home

Nigeria isn’t short on TOP names, we’re short on goals. It seems this is the real problem! Probably.
Because for all the talk about coaching, tactics, or structure, football is still about putting the ball in the net.

And right now, the Super Eagles aren’t doing that nearly enough.

Until that changes, every game will feel like a struggle. In fact, every game has been and is a struggle, no matter how bright the lineup looks on paper.

What do you think is the problem? Is the build-up play lacking precision? Does the finishing feel rushed? Or does the midfield rarely create those clear, killer chances top strikers thrive on

2026 WCQ: We will fight till the end – Super Eagles captain, Troost-Ekong

Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has said the team won’t give up on their ambition of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s side currently trailed joint leaders Benin Republic and South Africa by three points in Group C.

The three-time African champions will face Lesotho and Benin in their last two games in the qualifiers.

This is the only way they have to qualify by winning and praying there counterparts lose also. Nigeria football now is dead and scattered

All I know is that we can’t score pass 1.
If we score 2 goals we get tired immediately.

The sad thing is that this are the best players we have currently. I can’t think of any player that is an alternative to them most especially midfielders.

We are winning both games, with the right players and right attitude approach on the pitch.

All hands must be on desks, aggressive players should be allow to play these two games. The likes of iwobi and Ndidi should be benched because they are not super eagles material.

Best of luck to our dear super eagles team
I second 🤚

A goal scoring team is a winning team. A less goal scoring team like the super Eagles U should expect atleast a draw or loose
