Some Senators were dressed in free Palestine clothes? I bet majority of them don't visit their very own villages due to bandits, kidnappers and terrorists activities. One hardly hears them show any form of solidarity with their constituents trapped under the weight of insecurity and turned slaves to these evil of insecurity. Which senatorial district of Kogi did she represent? North waist or south waist. All she ranted about was someone trying to get unauthorized access to her waist. Two issues came to limelight today! One is the return of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and secondly, is the so-called international support for Palestinians while dressed in their national colours. Nigeria, as a country, is indeed a theatre of the absurd! Now, let's address the issues one after the other. Embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan duly and completely served her well-deserved six months suspension with some "jara" added to it despite the hysteria by her deluded supporters in their futile attempts at getting at the SP. So, one is bewildered as to where the false sense of victory is coming from. She was "suspended" and not outrightly "expelled" and it's guaranteed that similar actions would be meted out on her in future if she dares go against the rules of the Senate. Lessons must have been duly learnt by the "notice-me" Senator. On the issue of the so-called international support while dressing in attire of another country, is the height of derangement especially in the face of widespread insecurity challenges posed by non-state actors in Nigeria. If those who "paparazzied" simply to show support for people in a faraway country could exercise similar commitments in addressing the security problems in their own backyard, perhaps the story would have been different today in Nigeria. It would have been better for them to relocate to the Senate of Palestine instead of constituting a nuisance and a disgrace in our "hallowed chambers". It's like trying to put out the mild fire in another man's house while his very own is on full conflagration.
