I have been watching with keen interest the abandonment of the Lekki axis by the current Lagos state government. i haven't seen any major state road project ongoing anywhere in Lekki despite the deplorable state of the major and inner roads in Lekki.

The last time Lekki received some attention from the state government was during Ambode government. Since then, nothing major has been done in this rapidly developing axis of Lagos. A regional road was promised before the election of 2023. They actually started the project but immediately after elections, work stopped. The popular Lekki-Epe Express road (from Phase 1 to Abraham Adesanya) is collapsing gradually with potholes at major junctions (Cheveron, Jakande, etc).

Flash flooding, affecting many parts of Lekki, is common knowledge.

What is the issue? Do Lekki people need to start carrying placards to get the state government's attention?

They are just unhappy that boys destroyed that Lekki tollgate. For them, before the island receives serious attention, the residents must pay through their noses because they are considered comfortable.

And people for here no dey even vote for APC; they are not the mainland folks you can buy their votes with cups of rice. APC use violence to win elections here.

Lekki/Ajah express road is peeling off and they have abandoned VGC flyover. For the promises of the Green line railway and 4th Mainland Bridge, those ones na audio!

This is not good. if it continues, Lekki axis won't be different from the old Oshodi and Mushin.
