We agreed that Nigeria isn't economically viable, but why do Developers abroad still engage in criminal activity in a stable economy?
Is criminal activities by some Nigerians peculiar to people from just a particular section of the country?

You see ehn there are threads (despite the tribal trajectory it takes) that you should ignore and don't add your nōnsênse to the nōnsênse!

For me, irrespective of tribe, it is the lives of our youths that are been wasted that causes me pain and if this continues very soon other countries will tow the line of the UAE and ban
us all. Maybe that's when we'll realise what this is doing to us all!

You say naija no good with your long mouth and then when you go where good, you now do crime. Obviously, the problem isn't naija but you!

It is very interesting to see how smart people do meaningless things that don't make sense.

Since this guy has access to apps and the skill to scam, he sure could have used the skill and tools legitimately. Many of these boys that involve themselves in these scams can easily go into marketing, branding, and even data analytics. Many of them can even be content makers. The same set of skills they use to scam are what they need to go legit na. So, what is the issue here? And legit makes huge cash, and even more than illegal activities.

Gone are the days such skills bring reward via cheating, but these days, there are many legit ways to monetize them. I still don't understand why they prefer scamming. Seriously....I don't get it.
That you can commit crimes is not an indication of smartness.

This is how you encourage your people to do all sorts of things that tarnish the country's image.

You think they just started engaging in criminal activities now? They have been doing it since the 1970s, it is just the internet that beams the searchlight on who the true criminals of Nigeria are, and where criminal activities originated from in Nigeria.

When their people kept boasting & gloating that they are the most industrious and commerce-driven people on Earth, this is the result “CRIME”.

They are the ones who bastardized our image and international passport abroad.

The simple truth is that none of their people can survive or excel or thrive in any community without crime. All their so-called Millionaires and Billionaires made their wealth from Crime.
Your envy about Igbo billionaires and millions didn't start today, it started before civil war and continue after civil war. You should be ashamed of complaining that people the Nigerians gives 20 ponds after ceases all their money, are doing before in every area than those that cease their money. Check the numbers of the Easterners that has been arrested for crime abroad and calculates the others tribes let see the numbers. Just last two weeks, 6 south westerns, week before that an Oba was send to jail while another Oba travel from Nigeria to walk into his arrest. A south easterner accused of certificate forgery just resigned gently but a Westerner accused for been a drug cartel lord refused to allow court to release his court case file, instead he stole leadership mandate. Up till now he refuses to visit US. Many south western Nigerian senators doesn't visit USA because of fraud and drug pending case. One even die than answering drugs and fraud case Bolaji.

It's safe to say all of them from that region are all criminals
Re: Nigerian Arrested In Argentina Over Multiple Romance Scams by Lucas4903: 1:12pm On Oct 08, 2025
Nigerians are jokers. They say the country doesn’t provide them a future so they engage in Scam. They travel and go to a world where they can positively engage and then define their own future and yet they still engage in scam schemes. From Igbo’s to Yoruba’s the story is the same. From Canada to the US, UK and Australia there are still Nigerians actively engaging in scams. No moral, no values, just money. To make it worse people will applaud them once they showcase the purchases made with illicit money. They will become Oba’s, Igwe’s and Governors and career politicians. It’s a sorry state to say the least
