I recently started a YouTube channel and about to post my first video soon — just doing voice over.

But i want to know if i should also open a blog so i can be earning from both sides when the time is due, or should i focus only on the YouTube channel?

My channel is in the science and technology niche. The average words for my video script is 1.2k words to 1.5k words

Is blogging outdated?

I need response from knowledgeable YouTubers

In addition to my post, should I also create social media handles (like fb, & TT) so i can monitize them when the time comes? Or should i focus only on YouTube?

Social media has stolen the show this days, nobody checks websites like years ago.

Focus more energy on making content on youtube and probably other platform like tiktok, Instagram and so on.

Less energy on d blog or don't even bother about it.

The short answer is yes. As a content creator, having a website not only provides a personal space for your brand but also acts as a safety net should anything go awry with your YouTube channel or other social media accounts.
