Yes , that opened a pathway for caicedo to shoot.. The thing is shooting from outside is a 50/50 situation.. it can go in and it might not , 2.. There is a keeper that could also decide the situation depending on how good he is ..

But if he had gone on to stop caicedo from shooting, he leaves gusto open and and the situation becomes a 80/20 situation .. Nothing kerkez would have done there would stop gusto from shooting and if he gets to physical, na penalty for gusto..

Vvd made the the most logical move only the odds were in Chelsea's favour ..
