WCDMA is 3G, LTE is 4G. Kindly take note. Put your band 7 on Lte only and see your speed improve from that poor 11mbps.
😂 If U are having 8 Mbps or more with LTE in Ur areas, that means U have a good network coverage.. grin grin, that video is for ppl that are facing very poor network signal not for U, If U are on the 20mbps Plan, and U put Ur settings in LTE, U cant hv more than 13mbps if U stay in an area with a very strong network.. pls post Ur network speed let's see , this is my own speed, I checked it at 9.27pm

I watched your video simply out of curiosity. 'WCDMA Only' means '3G Only'. That's why your speed is poor. 11Mbps is extremely poor, especially when you have an unlimited plan.

Network is horrible in my area too. In fact, I can't get that 11Mbps anywhere within my house. However, after the installer installed the ODU router in a strategic position close to my roof, I am now getting 80+Mbps on 4G.
11mbps is poor. grin.. U must be a very heavy data user,

My router is connected to my tv ... We stream without a problem, most times if am watching football on the tv my wife will be busy streaming tiktok videos, without a problem, if U think 11mbps is too poor for you that means U are on the 50k 30mbps plan ...
For u to b getting 80mbps plan on Ur odu... Ur area network signal is very good ... I hv seen ppl using it here .. the maximum speed they are getting is 30 to 40 mpbs

If U cNt get 11mbps with the 4g router.. try the settings, U will be amazed that U will get up to 18mbps during the day ... because that Ur odu speed don break record o, I never see 80mbps b4 on odu b4 pls post the speed and lets see

My neighbor uses the 5g router, his PS5 sees the 2.5ghz but not the 5ghz even though it’s just in the next room separated by a wall. He has to connect his phone to it then share it to his PS5. Anyone experiencing this or with a solution?

You mean ODU or the ZLT X25?

X25 has an option where you chose 5G optimization or something like that. When you do that, you don't see the 5GHz SSID for devices that support but see the main SSID. What happens is that devices which support 5GHz will connect to the main SSID as 5GHz whereas all others will connect to the main SSID as 2.4GHz. You will know which one is connected to which one when you login to the router interface and check the connections.

If you don't select that optimization option, however, and your PS5 doesn't see the 5GHz SSID, it can mean a few things:
1. The PS5 does not support 5GHz. Many devices don't.
2. There is a strong enough barrier that blocks the 5GHz signal. You already said there is a wall. Most walls won't block it but still...

5GHz, while faster, is prone to physical barrier blockages, and it travels smaller distance than 2.4GHz. You can still have good enough speeds with 2.4GHz, depending on your use case.

Does anyone using the ODU experience random speed and signal drop?

Sometimes I can barely get upto 2 MBps (16 Mbps) while other times, I can't even browse. When this happens, I have to reboot the device.

this has been the case for me. Got the ODU on the Sep 17, and have been enjoying it with steady speeds of around 40-55Mbps but all of a sudden on friday night (Oct 3, 2025) till today (Oct 7, 2025), the internet stopped totally on the ODU just like that, i've restarted it over 50 times since the first time it happened and nothing worked. i even called customer care to complain and then they told me they'll work on it and then 2 days later, i got a text saying the issue was fixed, but then it only worked for like 5 minutes and stopped totally again, idk if it's network related because i have full 4G+ signal bars on the router. sometimes when i restart it'll be extremely slow that i cant even load a page. the service is really great for anyone who wants to get it but these past few days have been too stressful to say the least!

You don't need to do this. You can still use the airtel smartcash app. Just download the smartcash app and login using your regular airtel line. Provided you have a smartcash account, all you need to do is login into the account, click on buy bundle, select the hbb/router and choose the unlimited 20 subscription or any other one you are interested in.

Note that you will need to delete the main number on when you are asked which number you wish to subscribe the data on. Just insert the ODU simcard number without the first number zero, and proceed. You should hv already loaded your smartcash account with the subscription amount.

It's easy peasy.

Hey @pheranme9 I bought the Airtel 5G router just yesterday and stumbled upon this thread today. I’m curious—can you tell me if the data is genuinely unlimited, or is there a cap? I tend to use a lot of data!
Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by pheranme9(op): 8:20am On Oct 08, 2025
According to report getting to us from people using high volume of data it has been Stated that once you reach the 1Tb mark it gets throttled. Max I've used before is around 300gb and I doubt I will be getting to those numbers soon

Has anyone used their ODU more than 2 weeks? Been going through people's experiences on Twitter and 90 percent of people are saying it becomes frustrating after two weeks.

The reviews are really that bad and terrible.

I can relate with this, a friend has the exact same problem, even the dates the issues started is the same. I hope they're not dumping people batch by batch.

I have used over 300GB so far and it's been good. The only challenge I have is that network in my area isn't too good. Sometimes, I have to switch it to '5G Only' when 4G becomes very poor and Vice versa.

unfortunately, i think this is the case, and then even though the plan hasn't expired yet (expires on Oct 17, 2025), it's still not working. on top of that, the 50MBPS for 25K plan isn't showing anymore, only the 20MBPS plan for 30K is available on the app for the ODU device's number.

If you have another Airtel line on my Airtel app, try to use it to activate the data to the ODU line. Mine still shows the ODU plans, like data gifting.

I don't know about this but perhaps you may be doing it wrong. I see no reason why it shouldn't work for your own ODU plan. Which ODU plan are you on by the way?

You can try the ussd method to subscribe if this doesn't work for you.
