Your region has been neglected since the civil war. Ethno-religio-regional bias has been the order of the day while they continue to bastardize the nation.

Yet a failed so called prof of economics talking as if this skewed, defective and imbalanced nation on a precipice is a new concept to him
Don't mind the foolish prof.

Election is coming up so he wants to be in good book.

You didn't reason before you replied me because you didn't read my comment properly. You just rushed to your keyboard.

Was it not him who insisted on a One-Nigeria?

Which of the Premiers then supported his vision for a One-Nigeria?
Is Nigeria united to you?
Talking of evil and black heart… that's how you people fail exams...because you don't read to understand.
Because he insisted on one Nigeria long time ago when they were holding power then, Should these present crop of leaders continue on what is clearly not working?
While at the same time neglecting, marginalizing, depriving a particular since the end of civil war. It has been a FG policy to deprive that region

This is how devil or witch reason.

And who is forcing any Union on your people? This is my problem with you people. You’re writing and pulling data out of your rectums like illiterates.

In 1954, during the Lagos Constitutional Conference, when Chief Obafemi Awolowo mooted the idea of a SECESSION CLAUSE; who opposed & rejected it? NNAMDI AZIKIWE.

I guess Nnamdi Azikwe never saw the future and thought your people will continue to dominate Nigeria with their greed.

So, why do you keep disturbing our peace with a false narrative of a Forced Union on your people? Besides, your people are in the National Assembly, tell them to move a motion for SECESSION and your IMAGINARY BIAFRA will appear like a magic.

Bro.., the problem we have are our southern politicians, imagine soludo drumming for one Nigeria because of second tenor, time shall tell.

Oh I see. So the right of self determination for the 200 ethnic groups the British stole their lands and merged together to create a colonial project calked Nigeria, is dependent on Zik? Really? Zik was there when Nigeria was created? But it is him that decides if anyone has the right to leave Nigeria?

Colonial mentality is a disease

No one said anything about the colonial project called nigeria was dependent on Zik. That was just your usual gaslighting strategy.

However it is a FACT that, of all the three regional leaders at the time, ONLY zik was against the inclusion of a secession Clause into our constitution.

The colonial master, not wanting the disintegration of her largest colony in Africa backed Zik. As expected, the brits (and by extension Zik and his cohorts), had their way.

There is unhealthy rivalry and competition in Nigeria. Let every group control their land fully, align it as they wish and compete on that platform. It will fire up Africa

The union of Nigeria is not based on what Zik or Awolowo wants, they are just two people out of millions, and neither Zik or Awolowo was there when the British created Nigeria

The question is, who wants to be a Nigerian and who doesn't? Thats the question every ethnic group should decide, and not what Zik or Awolowo wants
Assuming we even go along with his jaundiced, revisionist yarn…that Zik made the Sadauna and Awo (1 against 2..and probably at gunpoint) not to agree having a secessionist clause in the independence constitution, ask that fella, that’s too quick to want to justify actions and inactions of today based on what was purportedly agreed by our ancestors almost a century ago….ask him ‘TODAY, ARE WE LIVING THE NIGERIA ZIK, AWO AND THE SADAUNA FINALLY SIGNED UP TO ON 1ST OCT’ 1960!?’

This is common sense, but we’ve since come to realise Nigeria doesn’t do common sense! Nigeria will be given the option of an easier, sensible route, but will always end up rejecting it and be made to choose a route strewn with thorns and hidden dangers just so some hegemonic interests can be protected!

I don't care what Zik wanted 70 years ago, that's immaterial today. The fact remains that Nigeria is a British colonial invention, and the Indigenous people of the land never lose their internationally recognised right of self determination, regardless of what Zik wanted

How do you expect them to change it when it's favoring them?
Have anyone of them left government and complain brokeness?
Is it today you know these people don't care about anyone but themselves.

How many Southeasterners in government are clamoring for presidency?
Are they not working for One-Nigeria too?
Are they ever in support of their own people who are fed up of this forced marriage?

One Nigeria, One Nigeria, and they're the ones to want to pull out first since 1966.

If Nnamdi Azikiwe had listened then, all these won't have been like this today. Each region would have been on its own since long ago, because Nigeria has not been one united country since the civil war.

See, I'm not intending to drag this long.
Let's just end it here.

If Britain that created Nigeria could give one of its areas, Northern Ireland, referendum in 1972

If Britain that created Nigeria could give another one of its areas, Scotland, referendum in 2014

If Britain that created Nigeria could leave the EU in a 2016 referendum

Then you that the British made a Nigerian should be wise enough to know that no union should be 'by force'
One nigeria only works for corrupt nigerian politicians that's why they will do everything to keep it the way it is.

Of course, you don't care what zik and his cohorts schemed and fought for, 70 years ago but very perturbed by the fact that nigeria was colonised decades ago. As if nigeria is the only country colonised by others

What zik and his kinsmen wanted, over 7 decades ago, the consequence is now staring us all in the face
presently. Zik did not want secession clause, he got his way (with the support of the brits, of course.).

Zik wanted unitary syatem and he got his way with Ironsi' decree 34. He and his deceitful co-travellers had a 20year plan (in 1944) to dominate the rest of us and they did, in the 1st republic whereby 70% of the federal posts at the nigerian airways went to them, 65% of the pists in the nigerian ports authority went to the same folks, Nigerian railway nko? Over 70% went to them.

What about education? All our Unis were VCed by them. Even federal scholarship in yorubaland was monopolised by the same peps.

This was why the sardunna slammed his "northernisation " policy , specifically on their greedy lil' ass.es. This earned him the Jan 15th coupists bullets.

In essence, what zik and his kinsmen did in the 30s and 40s is what we are grapling with now.

@ bolded........so too did Zik and his kinsmen. Zik campaign fervently against "regionalism" saying people will have to get visa to "visit" other regions in the federation.
