I believ you are an old man still stuck with ideas of the 1970s

Welcome to 2025 where nothing cannot be penetrated and unraveled
Information na water this days and once the information is accessible, you will realize that you don’t have a special head, younger people with better trading strategies will surely come up and bring an entire new change to the system that will completely outcompete you and throw you out of business if you don’t accept change.

Then you will know it has nothing to do with tribe..

And China trading wasn’t assigned to anyone or any tribe, it’s a free world. So better learn this fast, and drop this ego… it will happen in your eyes
I understand you very well and I also agree with your points, but one thing you guys fail to understand is the fact that natural gift or talent is given and not learned, and there is no way a learned talent can outshine a natural talent. And there's nothing that said Igbos must remain constant...they are evolving beyond what you think. Another thing making Igbos a strong business, and international trade force is the global network built by Igbo people's globetrotting habit of many decades. That Igbo waka waka life has made Igbos a great pillar in global trade cos you must be on ground to know certain things and to do some things in business....there is nowhere or place in the world you won't find an Igbo man mixed with the locals and some have even become locals too lolz....whereas our brothers in Nigeria brag that they don't travel anyhow cos their region is flowing with milk and honey....so you cannot eat your cake and have it...as Igbos de do waka waka, na so them de build trade and business network all over the world...you cannot beat that by sitting in your region and tweeting or designing an app...you must go there at some point...na wetin make Europe conquer and rule the world.

Besides, Igbos like myself are as innovative as you can ever imagine, don't measure Igbo businesses and entrepreneurship strides by the Igbo peasant traders you see in your area or those you see in your local markets....we have evolved beyond your understanding, that's my point.

In my business sector, as small as we are, we are leading technology innovation in that sector...we are always the first to initiate new ideas using technology. I am a trained engineer who have versed natural talent in writing and public speaking, add this to learned skills like coding, programming, digital marketing, blogging, AI (still learning) plus a natural flare for global history (war, conflicts, politics, science, technology business and economy), you can see where I am driving at?

In my small travel to one or few countries, I met fellow Igbo brothers who have taken over market sectors in some Asian countries (not China)....forget some unscrupulous Igbo boys using drug peddling to demarket Igbos, we are too entrepreneurial and innovative to a fault I must tell you. Sometimes I marvel at the never-existing ideas that run through my head.....sometimes I look back at some things I achieved in business with nothing and I just give God the glory.....you won't understand until you put body and confirm cheesy cheesy shocked

My brother, Igbo esika.....Igbo di too much when it comes to business and entrepreneurship.....if they get a country and succeed in having solid leadership in their new country, believe me, China will be shocked, the world will be shocked with their achievement in few decades of independence cool

Adexvivacity:
Las las, almost everybody feeds from corruption, almost everybody extorts. I could remember a lady from China selling cheap Phones LCD in Alaba vicinity, the lady was sent back to China by the union of Alaba traders on the allegation that she would reduce their profit or gain the whole customers to herself. EVERYBODY IS A MORAFVCKA HYPOCRITE.
In business there are confidential information and details nobody releases to the general public just like that. Obviously there is nothing illegal but a supply chain network requires some limited access unless u can do it by urself then fine.

Some will block all access by making it their franchise or main distributor so any other person from that region comes through u. its business network.

I'm not saying very dark man is wrong or right. People are just lazy to do the work and research themselves.

Long epistle

It’s okay to claim and brag about anything but don’t spill out things without backing them with facts and figures, it amounts to total nonsense…

Who told you Igbos are the ones that travel the most ? What data do you have to back that up? Or you just made it up from your head?

Grandpa , better wake up and stop all this bragging stuffs…
The world has advanced beyond all this and no tribe has the monopoly of talent of trade or has the monopoly of global influence…

And the technology you speak about, last we check , the most innovative technologies and successful tech came from the people of SW….

Attention seeker.
You have to adapt to healthy competition.
You can start producing and manufacturing just like the Chinese

Do you understand what you're replying to at all?

Or is the sickness of Igbophobia now taking its toll on you?

The Igbo guy is saying that...in business..being a middleman or an agent or a broker is a profitable occupation... by which Igbos make a living...in China(Where the Igbos in China act as agent or middlemen between the manufacturer and the distributor/seller of the products in Nigeria/Africa...while taking their own cuts.

Many Igbos "Japan" to China only for this purpose (to be a company's agent for a specific product for Nigeria and other African countries).

He's saying that Verydarkman now wants to directly link buyers (You and I) to the Chinese manufacturers in China if...for example...we want to buy a phone or a #lontor solar fan.

Do you get it?

Now respond properly

So what's wrong with what VDM is doing?

I don't understand what the noise is all about.

The numbers are all over the place in Alibaba and others. So VDM is not doing anything special.

Whoever is buying direct from China should consider quantity, freight rate, custom duty, etc. Most importantly, they must understand that Chinese companies are notorious for "swallowing" people's money. Can you seek redress in Chinese court?

The best approach is still going through those Nigerian agents that understand the language who will monitor the products, make the payments and supervise the logistics. Personally I don't feel comfortable paying directly to Chinese companies. There are too many scammers on the prowl.

You guys complain too much about everything.

Why na.

Just don't allow your arch enemies from SW to start reasoning importation business oh grin.

Those guys will penetrate the industry with more zeal, innovation and determination and highjack it from you guys o.

Remember how they highjacked the movie industry o .
You must be a GenZ . Go and read history. SW has the first association of theater practitioners. They have been producing movies since the 60s. Quality movies of cinema standard.

Don't mind him. Always playing victim. These same Nigerians will complain about estate agents and lawyers charging big commission as middlemen. But they want to be feeding rich on people's sweat.

I see what you mean. 4th line where it say "Real Igbo men," wasn't supposed to have a comma after "men," it was an auto correction.
