These updates while well-meaning haven't translated to good user experience overall because they haven't tackled the real issues.

Either way, I'd implore and encourage more people to voice their complaints regularly, we can't force the man to do what he doesn't want to do, but at least we can make our voices heard.

Evident by this move I saw, maybe we can force a compromise at some point.
So pls.....make everybody dey shout and talk wetin him no like or comprehensive upgrades you'd like implemented. If the mountain doesn't come to Muhammad (PBUH) , Muhammad (PBUH) will go to the mountain.

We can be the change we so want to be. Nigeria can be better if we make it so.
We can do better than this.

They made all those silly visual changes that we don't really need, and left the core UX out.

One major thing I'll also advocate for is an improvement to the search button.
That's part of the reasons why I actually force my way dropping my reviews no matter how the b0t frustrates me.


There's times I will want to call back on something I've said months ago but I can't find it with the search button. Sometimes something I said few weeks ago suffer the same fate. I now have to be forced to actually find that particular page I made such post to go back to my posts history.
It serves as my thoughts and inclinations over time.

Your search button database is very flawed and limited. Statements I've made years ago is of no use. Sometimes one might need to call back on previous statements or check my stance on a topic cos we discuss tons of stuff each week you might have forgotten the details. But you can't find them.

We could also shorten the text shown when a person is quoted. Anyone who wants to see the whole quote can click a button to view it in full. Otherwise, we should only see a snippet of the quoted text.
Some texts are lengthy....we don't want to be seeing the whole thing repeatedly once someone else quotes.

Also, make the like button a bit longer. I mistakenly press report when I want to like sometimes. We can also use a different color scheme for the like button so that it stands out.

The UX is the Koko. It's the only reason Nairaland is still in existence today — that Nigerian feel that we can't have on R£dd!t or Qú0r@ is the reason we're still here.
If he nailed it, why person go dey complain too much..... Nairaland has never caught up with its likes technologically or scale or otherwise, yet we're still several years later. Meaning no be really the UI make people stay all this while despite the complaints and talk of visually appealing redesign.
