Exactly, Nigeria keeps rehabilitating terrorists and setting them free in the North. Some of them are even rewarded with enlistment in the military but keep Nnamdi Kanu in unlawful detention. This double standard is the reason the country is seen as a joke. 25 Likes

A person that committed treason, that is responsible for killing of many of our soldiers and police men/women, coupled with innocent people that are killed weekly on Mondays in the South East is being persecuted? truthera:Kanu can't be "released". What I can agree should happen is for all Nigerians to demand for a fair and expedited trial so he is found guilty and sentenced immediately, as we saw happen with Ekpa in Finland, or found innocent and set free instantly. As for you people's redundant obsession with highlighting the disparity between the treatment of Kanu and Northern terrorist/bandits, which I have a problem with also, use your tongue to count your teeth. If you cannot, as a start, accept and work with the fundamental and unspoken realities of Nigeria, as you Igbos have never shown a capacity for, then you will forever be reduced, at great losses to yourselves, to making victimhood noise of frustration that will go unheeded as has always been the case. Omoyele, you need to stop putting yourself in Kanu's shoe. You are an activist, not a secessionist. You have no record of inciting killings or public vandalism. My only problem with the government concerning this case is the unnecessary foot dragging. Let them speed up the case ASAP and make it come to conclusion. If he is convicted, all well and good.
