OPINION: Atiku Abubakar Is Wise Enough To Lead Nigeria by Hemanwel(op):
If former vice president H.E Atiku Abubakar is wise enough to reject Nyesom Wike as his running mate in the build-up to the 2023 general elections, then he is wise enough to lead Nigeria!

An African proverb says, "what an elder or a wise man sees while sitting, a child can never see it - even if he/she climbs an Iroko tree".

What Atiku saw in Wike few years ago that made him reject him as his running mate, president Tinubu couldn't. This tells you about Atiku's foresight; his sagacity; his wisdom. Everything for this life no be cho cho cho or gragra! Some people oversabi has landed the country where we are today.

Today, the rift between them and Wike is getting deeper. If Atiku had told them about Wike then, they would have called him unprintable names.

See that 2nd picture of wike...

Damn I hate Old age. It's my biggest fear in life.

As for topic Atiku didn't have any foresight as you claimed. The reason Atiku dropped woke was simply because of their differences in ideology and both of their clashing ambitions.

These politicians that can collaborate and partner with the devil himself if it would serve their purpose.

He has foresight, wise, sagacious and chose the wide toothed okowa as deputy?

Atiku has his flaws but I still consider him the best of the miserable lots we are left to pick from and foresight is not one of his strengths!

And corrupt enough to squeeze out every kobo from it (see My Watch, by Obasanjo).

Atiku did not pick Wike only because of their differences; he already knew him to be a power monger. He already knew Wike to be garrulous. He knew him to be a very uncivil and uncouth personality. Lastly, he knew Wike to be belligerent.

These are traits Atiku had seen in Wike which Tinubu and his minions couldn't see.

Well all it did was land Atiku in the political wilderness wailing Tinubu this, Tinubu that.

U can’t have your cake, & eat it too. even the person he chose over Nyesom Wike as his running mate Ifeanyi Okowa has come out openly to pledge allegiance to Tinubu, so who amongst all is the belligerent one?

He didn't pick him because of their differences...

Rather he dropped him because of their differences.

He knew wike was uncouth, garrulous, uncivil and a power monger and was okay with these traits until they clashed with his interests.

Same thing tinubu is doing. He knows wike's vices but is ready to work with him as long as it furthers his interests. That's why I said Nigerian politicians can work with the devil himself to advance their cause.

Believe me tinubu knows all about wike's vices and would be discarded when it is no longer relevant to his ambitions!

Exactly...

You can't say Atiku has foresight for dropping wike and the person he picked as replacement is floating with no direction after abandoning him and pledging allegiance to someone else.

That's not to bring in the issue of him having a reputation of being one of the worst governors during his time.

What foresight is there in picking okowa and what did okowa have to offer?

If anything I will say his lack of foresight in dropping wike and picking okowa contributed significantly to his loss at the polls.

On hindsight I'm sure Atiku has realized many of his mistakes!

Well his mistake was catastrophic, it has caused him his life long ambition, he will never be the president of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Turaki of Adamawa state. Abubakar Attiku has missed his last opportunity.

Mind u I am from Delta State, even do I detest him, Okowa was not the worst governor during his time.

I agree with you totally...

His best chance of becoming president is gone.

I don't think he can ever be again. He lost his best shot.

Not the worst... but he follow for the list. I lived in Delta state during his tenure!

Tinubu knows...So, they should work together and should not allow the rift currently between them to affect governance. Isn't that why Atiku rejected him in the first place?

The same thing you said about Buhari for eight years, only to now blame him for destroying the economy.
