ledaman:lolz. Your desperation to make this a Muslim vs Christian fight is appalling. It has never been a clash between Muslims and Christians. It's always the Muslims attacking other religions. Either threatening them to do this or that or actually killing them. It's never us "attacking each other" or "fighting one another". No one fights or clashes with the Muslim. They are always the one brandishing their weapons It's the Muslims always poking their hands and weapons in the face of everyone. And then turn around to tell everyone to tolerate them. It's annoying and appalling. |

Wallade:If I address you by the name you deserve to be called, the mod would ban me. So I will be respectful. Oga, Supreme Court of Nigeria is the apex court of law. To buttress my point, at the same time Lagos went to court over this hijab issue, there was also another hijab case that emanated from Osun state. Osun had to wait for the supreme court’s ruling on Lagos case. The SP ruling has national application and its final. |

Wallade:oga it is just an example to show you that a schools code of conduct or dressing is not superior to the national laws of the country. I’m arguing with low-IQ folks |

NOETHNICITY:Does that apply to all the schools in Lagos? Go around several Lagos schools and be honest with yourself. It is not all schools in Lagos State that allows the use of Hijab in the school. The school is not about your religion or spiritual beliefs, it is a place expected to be focuses on academics. The schools are expected to leave the Churches, Mosques and Traditional Worshipping Outfits to teach your children spiritual knowledge. The best schools can do is Basic IRS, CRK and that is it. I am telling to take a tour around Lagos schools to verify your your position. |

simpleseyi:I didn't expect anything better. Nor be you again? There are hijab-wearing schools around, let her go there. Extremists are never satisfied. Always wanting to break institutional laws to satisfy their extremist appetite. Isn't Nigeria a secular state? Aren't there Islamic schools she could easily be enrolled in? Troublemakers, that's what you guys are. Thank GOD for Israel, the antidote to Islamic extremism. |

NOETHNICITY:When you want to site inference, ensure that your case inference relates to the cases in view. Otherwise, your point is not made or your point is not corroborated. What is the relationship between schools dis allowing hijab and schools beating pupils to death or schools cutting students legs? Does that make sense to you? |

Wallade:Why will all school in Lagos allow Islam to impose their culture on them? That's if you want to make hijab Islam issue sha? If I establish my school now I will now allow hijab, let say, I don't want, because one supreme court say nonsense, why Al-hikman university forcing all students to wear hijab? Yet nobody complaining Must u put ur daughter attends all school? |

NOETHNICITY:If I also address you as......, the moderators would take down my comments. The judgement you referred was about a case in Lagos not Kwara and Osun. Why do we still have schools in Lagos, Osun and recently Kwara that doesn't allow other attire but uniform in school? |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by Wallade(m): 1:16pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Fiscus105:Well, I think our Muslim folks are simply trying to compel other religion to accept their practice; impose their practice on schools and every other social structures of the society. That is the reason they want to force Sharia on the South West too. |

Fiscus105:Not just Al-hikman, also Crescent University... All female students have to wear hijab... |

Wallade:Regarding the SC ruling having national application, yo can do yourself the favor of typing the question into google search Regarding Kwara or any other school violating the SC ruling on hijab, the school authorities are simply people like you—ignorant, uneducated and their position driven by hate and sentiment against Muslims. Not one of law.

NOETHNICITY:The supreme Court ruling can be inferred as a case law when a similar case arises in court by the judge or lawyer. The supreme Court ruling you refer was specifically on Lagos State. For you, it is ignorance but for us and others that are realistic, we see it as Orderly, Discipline and Academics first, not religion, in school. |

Wallade:Funny enough, you’re absolutely right about that. It is exactly what I thought — especially considering your rather limited understanding of the subject. Extremely limited, in fact. Anyone with even basic legal knowledge should know that a court’s ruling anywhere in the country serves as a reference point for future judgments. |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by NOETHNICITY(m): 2:03pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Wallade:You finally admit that there was a SC ruling on the issue in Lagos state. At least we are making progress
|
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by Wallade(m): 2:09pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY:Let me help you: previous rulings are treated as case laws. Case laws are relied upon by lawyers and judges to determine judgement on similar cases Until a similar case arises against, maybe Kwara stare government and the school in Kwara, by your Muslim association or your lawyer where your lawyer can refer to the case law of Supreme Court that you refer, then the judge can agree with your lawyer and subsequently pass a judgement to allow the use of Hijab in schools in Kwara. Sometimes, the empty heads think they are more intelligent than others but it is often a standard: empty barrels makes quite loud noises. |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by Wallade(m): 2:15pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY:You can't force the culture of hijab on schools. You are free to take your children to Muslim schools or schools where it is allowed. If it is not allowed in a school, move on. Don't impose yourself or religion on them. The primary goal of school is academics, your religion is secondary in school. |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by rita25(f): 2:18pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
your narrative is a totally false one,she was wearing a school branded Hijab, nobody stoped her access to the school because of Hijab it was a different issue totally..Kwara state is very islamic tolerant as its a mixed religious state with 60% muslims..you Mr poster are the one trying to incite a religious divide |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by NOETHNICITY(m): 2:21pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Wallade:It is the teacher who doesn’t want it that will move on. This particular school is a FG school run with tax payers money. And if the country’s SC rules that kids can wear the hijab, who is the principal to decide against that? |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by NOETHNICITY(m): 2:27pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Wallade:So according to your educational background, the SC must sit and determine the case of Hijab in all 37states of the Federation? What a brilliant kid you are |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by Wallade(m): 2:29pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY:Principal or teachers can't make such decisions solely. It must be the decision of the management of the school, most likely the Federal Government. If you insist on the school and your child goes back to the school with hijab and the school still kicks her out. Then go to Court since you want to dwell on it Simple |
| Re: Hijab In School: When Will We Truly Learn Tolerance? by Wallade(m): 2:33pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
NOETHNICITY:Mr "level of education" ![]() As long as the supreme Court ruling you refer didn't specify the entire country and specifically addressed the case between Lagos State government, the school and your Muslim association. Other states can explore the lacuna in the judgement and claim that it doesn't affect them until a judgement is made by extension to cover all states and FCT of the federation. |
