you are writing the exam in your geo political zone.if you are lucky your state is among the states selected for the exam,you write there.
if not,you go the designated state and write your own

I’m not sure if they ask for state of residence while applying, maybe we will choose where we want or maybe state of residence, if your state is not on the list, then the closest state.
