FCT police command confirms arrest of suspects involved in robbery attack that claimed the life of Arise TV report ; release CCTV footage showing one of the suspects

The FCT Police Command has confirmed the arrest of twelve (12) notorious armed robbery suspects responsible for the heinous k!lling of Ms. Somtochukwu Christella Maduagwu, Esq., an Anchor, Reporter, and Producer with ARISE News, and Mr. Barnabas Danlami, a security guard, during a robbery operation at Unique Apartments, Katampe Extension, Mabushi, Abuja, on 29th September 2025.

In a statement released, the spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh gave the names of the suspects as Shamsudeen Hassan ‘m’, Hassan Isah ‘m’, 22yr, Abubakar Alkamu (aka Abba) ‘m’, 27yrs, Sani Sirajo (aka Dan Borume) ‘m’, 20yrs – gang driver, Mashkur Jamilu (aka Abba) ‘m’, 28yrs, Suleiman Badamasi (aka Dan Sule) ‘m’, 21yrs who provided vehicles for operations, Abdulsalam Saleh (aka Na-Durudu) ‘m’, Zaharadeen Muhammad (aka Gwaska) ‘m’, 23yrs, Musa Adamu (aka Musa Hassan) ‘m’, 30yrs, Sumayya Mohammed (aka Baby) ‘f’, 27yrs, Isah Abdulrahman (aka Abbati) ‘m’, 25yrs and Musa Umar (aka Small) ‘m’, 31yrs.

She mentioned that all the suspects hail from Kaduna and Katsina States.

‘Preliminary investigations revealed that the gang procured their firearms from a yet to be identified supplier in Niger Republic. They have also confessed to participating in other armed robbery operations at Katampe 1, a hotel in Apo, and another in Zuba, all within the FCT.

Further investigations confirmed that the fatal shot which claimed the life of the security guard, Mr. Barnabas Danlami, was fired by one of the suspects, Shamsudeen Hassan’’ Adeh said

Items recovered from the auspects include one locally fabricated AK-47 rifle, One (1) locally made pistol, One pump-action gun, Thirty-six live ammunition, Two live cartridges, Four mobile phones, Two knives, One cutlass and one heavy flashlight.

Faced same thing during my NYSC is Kano, 5 guys heavily armed robbed me and my fellow corper around 3am on a rainy night. Gave my roommate disastrous head injury, and left away with all that we have. After which they even locked us inside the room, so we can't call for help or treat my bleeding roommate.
One of the worse thing a man can ever experience.

If the incident had happened in the SE, TVC, PUNCH Newspaper, Tha Nation Newspaper etc will be calling IPOB-ESN as the culprits.

Howmany men can survive a jump from 2nd floor talk more of woman jumping from 3rd floor.

The thing is to be sure she really jumped by herself and maybe not pushed by the robbers.

All these guys that they are breeding up north and not sending them to.school nor learning any skill ve now become a menace to the nation.
