Ironfaceman:
Mr Sowore is planning a march to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on October 20 to demand Kanu’s unconditional release.

According to him, Jonathan promised to meet with President Bola Tinubu to discuss the matter as soon as possible.

“With this, former President Jonathan joins a growing list of Nigerians who have called for justice in Nnamdi Kanu’s case, a list that already includes ex-Vice President @atiku, Femi Falana SAN, Senator @ShehuSani, and many others across political and regional divides,” the former presidential candidate wrote.

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains in detention today because he took up the just cause of confronting the long-standing issue of marginalization in Nigeria.

Sowore called on all leaders, including Peter Obi, Governor Charles Soludo, Governor Alex Otti, Governor Francis Nwifuru, Governor Peter Mbah, Governor Hope Uzodimma, Oby Ezekwesili and John Mbata of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, “as well as Nigerians of conscience everywhere, to lend their voices to the call for justice and freedom.”

Peter Obi or no one else.
Igbo should be allowed to rule if truly they have equal rights in Nigeria like it was said, or better still, give them what they ask for if you won't give them Presidency...

This is just the truth.
Simple.

If I am not good enough to rule the country, then let me go.
Your argument lacks logic. Rather than focusing on genuine democratic practices, we find ourselves preoccupied with a system that rotates the presidency among various tribes or zones, akin to a monarchy. With over 500 languages in Nigeria, it is unreasonable to suggest that any particular language holds exclusive rights to leadership. If the argument for Igbo presidency is based on rights, why should other languages not be afforded the same opportunities?

If we cannot allow each of Nigeria's diverse languages, including minority languages, the chance to govern, should the nation be divided into over 500 different entities? In which democratic country do you see the rotation of presidency among different languages or only major tribes, aside from Nigeria? This system appears to be more of an "ethnocracy" than a true democracy.

Instead, we should foster an open system that allows any competent candidate, regardless of their linguistic or tribal background, the opportunity to become president. The current practice of rotating the presidency does not reflect the principles of a true democracy.

Peace!

500 mushroom ethnic groups you mean?

We are talking of an entire Geo-Political Zone here being deprived of being President or Vice President...

No honor amongst thieves, yes the APC will grab it & run away with it again, you can go to The Supreme Court of Nigeria to report them, their justices are there waiting to throw out your petition.
Hahaha hahaha!

You mean the same supreme Court that Tinubu and APC national has never lost a case since he came onboard as the unpopular president?

Even the worst of Obj and Buhari who we called former military dictators lost cases in the supreme Court because of their government excesses.

We are seeing the worst of that court you mentioned and the most unbelievable thing is that it's headed by a Yoruba man from the sophisticated tribe of Nigeria.🤣🤣

Tinubu is a democrat but running a government with the most abused democratic system in the Nigerian history. Is God not wonderful?

I believe now that talking is cheap but practicing what you preach is a different ball game.

Let's continue to watch and wait for the day the supreme Court will tell the perfectionist Tinubu's government that they are wrong before the law.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If the over 500 languages represent distinct ethnic groups, and Igbo is merely one of them, then all languages should have equal rights to fair representation in a democratic system. As a member of a minority tribe from the marginalized Middle Belt region, it's evident that we do not experience genuine democracy in Nigeria. Instead, our system more closely resembles "ethnocracy," in which dominant ethnic groups govern over the others. Following this logic, Igbos should not be resentful if they are unable to surpass Hausa and Yoruba dominance. If Igbos were leading the country today, they likely wouldn't prioritize establishing true democracy, as demonstrated by their proclamation "we are born to rule." This raises the question: isn't every tribe equally entitled to govern?

Peace!

It is absurd to demand the release of someone accused of serious crimes like treason. The evidence against Nnamdi Kanu is widely available for anyone to see online, which makes it difficult to understand how his case can be framed as purely political. This country is a joke if it entertains such notions. The rule of law must be allowed to take its course without interference.
So how many years does it take to try such a serious crime as treason my friend....a decade?

Any serious minded person will know that his detention is political as long as his case remains inconclusive. And political for the reasons of electoral expediency.

SOWORE is an Arogbo IJAW from ONDO State. It was in his Wikipedia profile during Jonathan Government. It was when he was in detention under BUHARI when ONDO women demonstrated half-naked at AKURE that the Profile was removed and changed.

APOI is also an IJAW subgroup in Ondo State. Both Arogbo IJAW and APOI IJAW are IJAWS in Ese-Odo local government of ONDO State. During OBASANJO Government up till early Yaradua Government there was serious fight between the IJAWS and ILAJE over ownership of territories.

You Group APOI
Ikale
Ikale.

It is
IKALE
ILAJE
IJAW

The Ikales are on the mainland. The IJAWS and ILAJE are on the Waters.

You are just trying to create another classification not publicly or officially known. In Ese - Odo ILAJE area of ONDO State it is ILAJE, IJAW and Ikale. APOI or AROGBO are IJAWS .

SOWORE is not ILAJE, SOWORE is not IKALE, SOWORE is an IJAW. Both ILAJE and Ikale are YORUBAS.

Because whoever gave that Monday order sit @ home, deserves a long prison sentence.

Nnamdi Kanu was in detention when the sit at home started with no communication to outside so definitely wasn't him.

Simon Ekpa declared himself leader which Nnamdi Kanu's family denounced.

Obviously he has the backing and funding from some igbos abroad but not acting on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu because his family denounced such publicly.

And yes anyone can feed into the sentiments of the agitation and with funding can form a militia just like bokoharam and bandits have many leaders who are not related.

U always mention Nnamdi Kanu’s family, is Nnamdi Kanu the owner of Ipob, is Ipob about only Nnamdi Kanu?

His family did not agree, who is his family, is his family the one instructing the whole eastern Nigeria?

What u are implying sounds rather ridiculous, like a Jim Jones brain washed scenario.

I am telling u Nnamdi Kanu's position on Simon Ekpa through his family position on Simon Ekpa.

That invariably tells u Simon Ekpa was working in his own and not on Nnamdi Kanu's mandate or instructions.
