Nigeria will qualify to the world cup, we just need to win our last game because many points deductions is coming again, FIFA will also deduct points from those Benin, South Africa and Nigeria again, they will deduct 4, 6 and 2 points respectively and this will take us to the top of the table, we just need to win Benin Republic and see our self in USA/CAN/MEX 2026. Let me go and dust my passport from the place I kept it, a proper way to japa now.

Nigeria should know already that they've lost their chance of featuring in the 2026 world cup. They can't eat their cake and still have it. Benin Republic or South Africa are better placed to clinch the slot ahead of Nigeria.

Nigeria will win ..n comes out second ..will qualify as best loser ..only to win no single match in group stage...sure bet

South Africa andNigeria will both win their last match so the top team will qualify automatically and the second places will qualify for playoff as one of the best second placed placed

It's either Nigeria top the qualification group or forget the world cup entirely. We can no longer qualify as best runner-up, because the highest point we can amass is 17point. There are better places runner up at the moment like
Burkina f-18PT
Dr Congo- 19PT
Cameroon -18PT
Gabon - 22PT
Uganda -18PT
Madagascar -19PT

Unfortunately, the slot is open to the 4 best second placed teams. So we either win and hope result go in our favour or just forget the world cup.

Yes in all you said topping the group is the best and surest way to the world cup even from a logistics viewpoint because play off is also stressful and financial tasking.
Other points you cited are incorrect and the table below will explain why to you.

If we beat Benin by a lone goal, we still qualify. We will have the same goal difference of +4, same goal scored and same goal against, then it will boil down to head to head. We drew in their house and won in our house.
You are wrong. Benin beat us 2-1.

😀😀
Rohr needs an outright win as a draw will take their fates out of their hands and they will also hope Rwanda does them a favour by winning or drawing. South Africa has a clear cut mission:Beat Rwanda and top the group, any other result they(South Africa) are out.

Stop the let's get 1 or 2 goals mantra as that depends on the outcome of the following:
Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia
Mali v Madagascar
Algeria v Uganda.
It is only if these matches end in a draw that the let's get 1 or 2 goals mantra becomes an agenda and even at that Super Eagles defence will need not to concede for the let's get 2 goals mantra to be a good option.

I repeat let's get 4 goals mantra will be the best option.

From the picture attached, you can obviously see that the four best second place team were place in the shaded area. They were the one with automatic chance of qualification as at that period( matchday 7) .The figures i quoted were point amass by second placed team after match day 9.

The figures you quoted are before the points deduction against last position teams in all groups.
If we finish 2nd we will only lose 2points to Zimbabwe.
Our goal is to win massively against Benin Republic and pray that South Africa does not get 3points against Rwanda only if Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Uganda drop points in their last games respectively.
Lastly should Burkina Faso win by 1:0 we will need to win by 3:0 even though 2:0 or 3:1 will suffice for a play off but you never can tell with our defence and goalkeeping errors.

From the above Gabon or Ivory Coast on one hand and Cameroun or Cape Verde on the other hand are assured of a play off spot.
DR Congo defeating Sudan at home by 1:0 in DR Congo guarantees their spot in the play off.

This is what I foresee: Ghana will qualify directly, Ivory Coast will qualify directly, CAF MAGIC will happen to see Cameroun go directly while Cape Verde goes to playoff and Senegal will qualify directly this ensuring that if Nigeria gets into the playoff, they are likely to avoid the Big guns and Africa gets almost all her big names to the 2026 World Cup.

Wrong assertion. Your one goal is needed theory is not absolute as it depends first on Madagascar, Burkina Faso, and Uganda not picking 3 points in their respective games and fourthly depends on South Africa drawing or losing, and fifthly in case CAF makes a U TURN on Head-to-Head it depends on our not getting more yellow cards.

We can thrash Benin Republic irrespective of the appalling abyssmal displays in the past.
Getting a 4:0 win should be our goal should per adventure we concede late or need goal difference to get into the playoffs.

Sport2026 WCQ: Rohr ready for difficult Super Eagles showdownPu

Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr is expecting a difficult duel against the Squirrels of Benin Republic, DAILY POST reports.

The Cheetahs maintained top spot in Group C after a 1-0 away win against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday.

Tosin Aiyegun scored the winning goal for the visitors 10 minutes from time.

Rohr’s men occupy top spot in their group with 17 points from nine matches.

The German said the win will boost his side’s confidence going into the crucial clash with Nigeria.

“It was a very tactical match… A difficult match with very little football. But since it was so important, you can’t come here to put on a show.

“We were here to get a result. Playing against Osimhen, Lookman, Simon, Iwobi… That’s another story. This result builds confidence,” he said.

Nigeria and Benin will clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, next week Tuesday.
