In reference or should I say in responding to the above thread, why is Peter Obi afraid of contesting in any party primary election ?

There is no record of him participating in any party primary before.

Peter Obi's first official political party in Nigeria was ANPP, he got the Anambra governorship ticket of the party uncontested ( reserving the story behind that for now) but couldn't contest eventually as the party wasn't grounded in Anambra as at that time.

The APGA governorship ticket he got, Peter Obi didn't participate in the primary election as it was already conducted before joining the party. The person who won the ticket had to step down for Peter Obi for ticket switching ( Story behind also reserved)

Peter Obi was expected to have participated in the Pdp primary election in 2023 but he left the party when the primary election was almost around and ported to LP.

Again in LP, even though there were people from the party already showing interest in participating for the party presidential candidate, somehow ( Reserved story), they all stepped down for him and got the LP party ticket in 2023.

Towards the 2027 election, the story is looking the same as his supporters have been telling others to step down for him just to get the ADC presidential ticket, the thread above is just one of reference.

The question now is, why is Peter Obi afraid of contesting any party primary if that's how credible, popular he's around the political party he has been associating with?

To his supporters, defenders, only argue with facts, no attacking, insult or blackmailing.

So a female child who bags a first class by using all means possible without writing any exams is worth celebrating?

The proper way is to scale through primaries if there are other contenders not muscling people around to get what you feel is your birth right.

Know this, there's a reason for the primaries and if Obi is not ready to contest the primaries, he should work on himself more.

The one Your SW president contested was not election. He only went to continue his corrupt life style of bribing delegates with dollars.
And the result is the hunger,poverty and corruption he is sharing since 2023.
He is never coming back even with his ethnic person as inec chairman. We will defend our vote with our lives

I'd say, he should move to a party with no or little influential individuals and conduct primaries.....but he already went to LP and still didn't participate in the primaries even when the contenders were featherweight politicians....

Point is, he's not going through the right means..... He feels election should just be conducted and the winner announced.

For him to be scaling through without any opposition, means he's doing something right. Not every politician can pull that. Focus on your candidate and let Obi do his thing! Inugo?

Rigging didn't start in 2023. Which ones? APGA? Am not sure he did, if not, he won't contest under the party. Remember he was in APGA, not PDP, Chris Nigege did primaries in his own party in PDP, am not sure Obi ever did, he was hand picked by Ojokuwu. So it's something his already used too(Not going for primaries) And I don't think that is an issue actually. The real question is "Can you deliver when elected?"

The constitution requires that any eligible candidate should pay for the ticket and contest for primary election, except the party decides to make the candidate unopposed.

Stop crying . How did Obi got all slots of presidency he did not participate it's primary without bribery ? Or you believe the flagg bearer just surrendered his post for Obi vulunteily ?

Honestly, I have zero idea which kind of politician obi is. But I think obi feels the result of the primaries should not affect his ambition to run for president. Some people are adamant, they might decide to go against the odds. And that's what obi thought. He went against established norms and came out with an outstanding result of over 6.1 million votes. Nobody, not even obi himself saw it coming. It's well.

You don't need primaries to win your party support but you need the party support to win elections

Sure. He would. But I don't think he would run with ADC as things are going. Obi understands that the dynamics has changed and 2027 will be very different from 2023, maybe it's the reason why he won't deputies atiku in ADC
