GloriousGbola:I am surprised to know people were dating in sec school or worrying over this in university. As an undergraduate all my problem was not to spill and go for NYSC immediately. Some girls dated coursemates and by 400L they had broken up. These girls later went on to marry abroadians. Some married homebased. I see some on FB wey done japa. I see the ones wey just dey. Such is life. Nothing is cast on stone. Who does he want to date him from 100L until he makes it? So they will call her evening🗞. He should sha try and balance love and hustle. Else even the younger ones won't want him. This (up)coming generation are not fans of wide age-gap like the older ones. |

Nothing new here. I got my first awakening during my second year. The girl I was interested in had her classmate also interested in her. I even planned to buy a laptop for her as a present. That was my second time of "falling in love". Her classmate was pushing further than me to the extent I almost dropped out of the race. Until she revealed she is dating someone outside the school who works for a prominent government company. During that same period, I was reading all sorts of research articles and publications by The Economist about marriage and dating. It was then I realised terms like: hypergamy, assortative marriages, date up etc. With my background in biology and basic economics, I finally understood why humans behave the way they do. The girl in question is married to the man she dated, with three children, while her classmate and I are still unmarried. So, there you have it. What amuses me is how men realise this early enough and accept it, but women are surprised when these men aren't interested in them any longer, but in younger girls. The vast majority are now with and doing relatively ok— at least for now, since I don't know what the future holds for them— with true loves they found outside of school. It's not hard to know whether somebody has a bright future or not. A student who has a bright future concentrates 100% of his energy on his studies. His passion and goal is to come out with good grade and become successful in anything he ventures into after school. A student who has no future tend to care more about how to get girlfriend instead of focusing on his studies. |

I have been in your shoes and understand you perfectly but my case was different as I had an edge as a rich kid. I had girls from same 100lvl to 500lvl drooling over me and wanting my attention. 500lvl girls with the biggest bundas I could ever imagine invited me severally to their lush apartments and would cook for me and we had fun alot. Not necessarily sex though inclusive but good conversations and laughter and company. Long story short, my dad which was my sponsor lost his engineering job role at Schlumberger in my 300lvl. Well life taught me a bitter lesson from then as I couldn't afford to keep up with my lifestyle, drop, designer perfumes, sneakers, expensive apartments rent etc... All girls wouldn't look my way anymore including my beautiful girlfriend in my department same level. I couldn't take it anymore I had to drop out and focus on the streets. Well I made it and now have girls drooling over me again though it comes at a price, I learnt my lesson, Never Broke Again |

You may have noticed it too. But if you have not, as I describe this you'll understand it once. So, when we just gained admission newly and resumed school, for most of us we just want to get the best grades. But not just grades sha. I personally made a vow that I'll have my first serious girlfriend from 100l. My goal was that we could grow together from there and probably get married someday. Don't blame me, your boy was young and naive then. Most girls in 100l with us then just won't date us. I mean some did but never anything serious. Their eyes were rather on the senior students. These girls were going with guys in 300l and 400l students. Omo, senior men wey we dey respect as guys naim these girls dey call 'baby'. 100l was tough. You will toast this girl today and both of you'll be feeling it and the next day same girl will break up with you. Not that you did anything o. Na senior student Don toast her be that. Now here's the problem. It's 6 years after and we are in 400l. We are now the 'highest' in the school. And the obvious now is some of these girls are now trying to cling to us. It's funny now sha. Person wey dey feel like say dem no fit look your side a few years ago now wan dey follow you package stuff. Unfortunately, me no too send them again. Fresh babes are coming in every year and they seem better, look more eager and tends to demand less. So why would I leave such for my mate who dem chew for my front and she's still demanding something serious? I also think this same thing happens in the real dating world. These girls in their younger age will go after matured men leaving boys in their age groups. Gerrard59:Thanks for this! That always been my view. If it works, let us publish papers on how it works, it's benefits and what to do with it. But remember the reason we don't study it that way is because we don't have a self-inspired system of education in Africa, therefore haven't created a curriculum on how to study it. But that's by the way. In my upcoming book, I'll challenge EVERYBODY about juju. But don't get me wrong, it's not as if there's no juju. The problem is that people don't understand how it works. Juju is like numbers. Does the numbers 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and the other bigger numbers really exist? Or are they something we're making up in our minds. This has been a question that philosophers, metaphysicists and even mathematicians have been trying to answer for centuries without conclusion. Does numbers exist or are we making them up in our minds. My view about the above is that we're co-creating our reality with nature. If you're adding 5+5 in your mind while awake it's only you that knows its ten in your mind. What people don't know is that when you're asleep and dreaming, you use a whole different type of mathematics to arrive at the same answer. So, numbers exist and also doesn't exist at the same time. It's just a utility that you can use whenever you want. It only exists when you're conscious of the maths. It's same with juju. If you cultivate it in your conscious, it will exist in your mind, and begin to control you. For those that believe it like my junior brothers, it will appear real in their mind such that whenever his di.ck rise, he'll attribute it to the jazz working, not realizing that your faith in something makes it create your reality and that it's normal for di.ck to randomly rise every now and then.
