They begged Israel to ceasefire, this is why countries were walking out of UN, to cajole Israel to ceasefire. Trump had to personally warn Netanyahu to agree to the deal, and it's a good deal for Israel because terrorists Hamas leftovers won't be part of the government. Israel was the one asked to ceasefire, Hamas had it's leaders taken out like chickens.
