On The Origin Of Evil by Nobody:
The concept of "evil" has perplexed human thought for centuries, with philosophers, theologians, and scholars of various disciplines attempting to understand its origin. The question of where evil comes from—whether it is inherent in human nature, a result of societal influences, or a force external to humanity—has given rise to a broad spectrum of theories. In examining the origin of evil, it is essential to explore the views offered by religion, philosophy, and psychology. Together, these perspectives offer a complex and multifaceted understanding of the forces that contribute to the manifestation of evil in the world.

OP, Agbadóos will invade this thread to ask one of their senseless questions: 'Do we spend dollars?'

Why not use actual figures instead of assumptions? It’ll paint a better picture. By the way, you should consider purchasing power parity in your analysis. What N10,000 will buy in Nigeria, $10 won’t buy even one-fifth of in the USA.

It seems he didn't break it down for you enough in a lay man's language. During Buhari, a state that gets say 10billion naira can construct 50km of road. During Tinubu, a state that gets say 25billion will only be able to construct 40km of road. Does that makes sense to you now?

This is really laughable.... Are you even normal Op?? The way you people defend governors who are the real embezzlers of public funds is really amazing. Take it or leave it... Governors get more allocation now than before and the moment you guys start holding them accountable, the better for this nation.

Continue putting your eyes at the center while the governors enrich themselves.

The way hate have blinded you ehnn, I just pity your life

Good analysis....but....

Itll be nice to state the actual amounts, not assumptions.

Itll be nice to know the actual amount Kano received previously and the actual amount it receives now, so your assertion can be fact checked

Let me help you anyway, Kano received 7.9b per month in 2015 and it receives 41.6b per month now
Re: On The Origin Of Evil by givedemwotowoto:
OP you're right and I've written about this before, and to put it into specific context, in 2014, the average monthly allocation to Kano state was N6.5 billion naira and at N165 to $1, that was $39 million USD. Today in 2025, the average allocation to Kano is N41 billion naira, and at N1,500 to $1, that amount is $27 million USD.

Things like this hardly make it to FP, but if it's "Peter Obi is finished, David disagrees with an Obidient". Piaaa it goes to FP

In 2014 during GEJ presidency, the average monthly allocation to Kano state was N6.5 billion naira and at N165 to $1, that was $39 million USD. Today in 2025, the average allocation to Kano is N41 billion naira, and at N1,500 to $1, that amount is $27 million USD. This was with subsidy payments.

Let's even go to 2015 with subsidy payments during Buhari, the average monthly allocation was N7.5 billion naira which was about $27 million USD at N197 to $1. Today with subsidy removed, the monthly allocation is still about $27 million USD equivalent. Something is really wrong.

Now think about it, during Buhari's government, subsidy was being paid and $$ was heavily being defended (or subsidized), but still states are receiving the same equivalent today.

Something is seriously wrong somewhere!

Op, you are smart. Just to put it in perspective, these governor build roads and other infrastructure. Take a bag of cement under GEJ was N1200. Today, it is about N8500 per bag, so kindly do the math.

Racoon here sir. Mods please let's give his opinion consideration. I don't know what criteria mods use to give priority. I simply finds its fulfilling to share my thoughts to educate the reading public and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity they always give me. Yes, the naira’s weaker — we all know that. But here’s what you’re skipping:

Most state spending is in naira — roads, labour, local contracts. So converting allocations to dollars just to push “Tinubu ruined everything” is lazy economics.

You also ignore Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). ₦10,000 in Nigeria does far more than $10 in the U.S. Your FX math ignores real local value.

Dollar expenses are now cheaper in naira terms than during the artificially pegged rates of the past. The market is adjusting — painfully, yes — but realistically. That’s how real exchange systems work.

And let’s not forget: Oil revenues are dollar-based, so a weaker naira = more naira in the federation account. That’s partly why allocations have gone up.

So no, states aren’t being handed “tissue paper.” That’s just FX theatrics with zero economic depth.

And please — stop guessing. Use real FAAC figures, not made-up examples, if you're serious about making a point.

Yet the governors are almost all delivering more projects than they did under Buhari.

They are paying higher wages too, in fact for the first time in our history, we have 3 or 4 states that are paying higher salaries than the federal govt.

All from the tissue papers oh.
Re: On The Origin Of Evil by opes: 7:59am On Oct 12, 2025
The question is, why were they borrowing and indebting their states back then, even with little infrastructural development, if you claim the money then had more value?
Now, every state governor has reduced their debt profile and is undertaking massive infrastructural development with the "tissue paper"

Again, why are they not owing salaries now unlike before?

Is the Tinubu government not engaging in mindless borrowing even borrowing far more than previous administrations despite no longer paying fuel subsidies and claiming it has met its revenue targets and is?

What infrastructure development are you even referring to? Is it the so-called Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway a project shrouded in secrecy, where the Minister of Works, who fraudulently claimed to be a professor, only backtracked when exposed by saying he’s a professor in practice? Up till now, they’ve refused to tell Nigerians the cost per kilometer. It’s nothing more than a fraudulent, money-laundering scheme disguised as infrastructure.

I actually don't understand your message. My response was to the state governors
