Crypto isn't different from gambling, kalokalo, betting etc. Sensible people who decide to trade it, only trade spares cash they can afford to lose. |

Only greedy and emotional people lose money in crypto. What were you expecting when tokens were hitting all time high? If you did not pull out then, then your emotions got you there. When others are crying about the dip, the smart ones are buying up again. |

Been saying it for years, buying crypto is a loser's game. And it is a game. Exactly like playing Baba Ijebu or online betting, only more glamorous. One Satochi, allegedly from Japan, created this thing, bitcoin, which he tagged a currency. It is not backed by Gold, or government paraphernalia. You can't use it to buy bread, pay for transport or rent, or much else anything. It does not support any form of production. It is not even a physical thing you can touch or feel. It's basically just a number generated by a program/ code ![]() A group of young Americans hyped it up, told the rest of the world it is the next global currency. They sucked in people from poor countries like Nigeria who pump money into it. And then those Americans manipulate how and when it falls and rises making sure they make the most money while the deluded and clueless ones from poor countries wallow in loses. It is all fantasy. It is MMM. I challenge anyone to explain here how it is fundamentally different from playing Baba Ijebu or online betting. |

LordBiden:Nigerians are the dummest investors ever. I said last year that crypto is a fraud and a scam. Crypto has a lot of liabilities, such as power, data centre and government regulation. One day, Nigerians will learn. |

Just 30 minutes before Trump made the announcement, a trader opened a leveraged Bitcoin short. After the announcement, market crashed and two hours later, the trader walked away with $192 million in profit. Oh Baron Trump - the president's 19 year old son made about $150 million too from the crash. This is not the first time something like this happened in Trumps administration. Coincidence? |

How long will the world continue to take this trade war of trump now and then? His actions has been making global markets unstable since his emergence as president. Every week is one thing or action by trump that will disrupt the market. Will I say trump na bad market or what. Even market experts predicted that if trump becomes president market will do well. This is a clear case of , nobody knows tomorrow. |

Agony as how na? All staunch crypto investors know that corrections are inevitable, when that happens, they log off and wait or buy the dip cus It will definitely go back up, and you only lose when you sell. |

Crypto is a scam All businesses in it all you do is to speculate are the same. Examples: stock trading, sports betting, Forex trading, binary options, crypto currencies. They are all the same, nothing different, just a change of name. Speculation is simply prediction. It's stupidity to call sports betting gambling and crypto an investment. Gambling means 'risking money to make more money.' Same 'risking money' that people do when trading crypto. Crypto is bet9ja in disguise, argue with your phone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iopSFri_bQc |

Not into crypto... but if Trump can just make a statement and cause it to crash then it can never be stable as long as Trump has that power. Would there be an investigation of inside trading by Trump? ...would he be quietly telling his family members get rid of your crypto ... two days from today I'll be making a big announcement.... a very big announcement that will crash crypto. Why wouldn't he? |

Over 2,000 crypto traders have since committed suicide since the crash began 2 days ago. Lol. The signs were all there with a mystery individual placing a short on crypto crashing 3 days before the crash. The mystery short generated over $170,000,000 for who placed that short. Insider trading ? Definitely. Someone knew before hand that there was going to be a massive sell off of crypto. My guess is whoever knew was connected to the unknown whales in the crypto scene. A whale is typically an individual/buyer who scoops up large volumes of crypto in one single transaction. Most whales have been linked to institutional investors like Black rock, Vanguard Group and Main Street. Other whales are covet intelligence agencies who rush to buy crypto to facilitate transfer of funds directly to proxy militias or to buy huge weapons cache to spread their endless wars across the planet. Crypto is ideal for covet funding so this is why intelligence units in the west use of to fund their terrorist proxies. My guess is that Black Rock and co are pulling out of crypto and investing it into gold. Same thing is why the US and London stock markets are crashing. Investors are turning to gold now that its trading very high at $4,000 an ounce. China is also one reason why gold is skyrocketing as China has stopped investing in US debt markets and instead is piling up gold mostly from Russian mines. Sanctioning Russia out of the global economy is hitting the west hard as Russia has now adapted and weaned itself from the US dollar global economy. Bearing in mind that Russian mines also account for a sizeable portion of global gold supply , trading their gold outside the US dollar has made the downward and suppressive pricing of gold in the London Bullion Gold market ineffective. Gold prices have been artificially suppressed for years in favour of investing in western ponzi stock and debt markets by the London Bullion Gold market. The LBG isn't even a market as it is only a group of three individuals headed by a Rothschild with the head of the Bank of England and a representative of gold speculators drawn from Jewish gold merchants. The trio meet every Monday after breakfast to decide the price of gold . This '' market '' is what has suppressed gold prices for decades. With sanctions on Russia making that country not to capitulate to western oligarchs (that's who dictates economic and financial sanctions ), Russian gold now is being traded in a currency swap deal with China. Orange man , Zion Don then begins his tarrif wars with China. Xi says he has had enough and not only bans US food imports but dumps US debt. That massive dump on US debt then begins to break the house of cards that is the financial ponzi scheme western economy. Stock investors pull out and begin to search for an alternative hedge which only gold can fill. Whales like Black Rock are taking a beating in their ponzi stock market but they can't pull out or risk the whole thing crashing so they then begin to dump their Cryptos and move it into gold. That there is why crypto is crashing and with it , soon the US and western debt based liquidity economy which in turn will see the dollar come crashing down. This is why orange man wants to invade and capture Venezuelan oil fields(the largest known and proven reserves) and take over Greenland for its rare earth metal deposits. But the money changers will prefer all out Samson option by instigating another global war than risk their money tables being overturned . |

The mods on this website are very pathetic. You all could at least do a little digging before pushing things to front-page. The 1.6 trillion dollars was not even from crypto, it was from stocks!!! The wipeout from crypto was 19 billion dollars. That is just 1.2% of what the OP claimed. Not that I am trying to say which loss is better. Loss is loss and things like this are not new in cryptocurrency. About 4 years ago, bitcoin nosedived to around 18k dollars, it picked up again and went up to over 120k dollars. And except you don't have any financial knowledge, what happened to cryptocurrency is NOT a loss UNTIL YOU SELL AT A LOSS. |

Y'all are just talking nonsense. People that trade crypto are used to these. If it doesnt move up or down, you won't make money. Many people shorted and got results. Only those that are or outsiders will be wailing. Winning and losing is part of it. Just get your strategy right and win more than you lose. |

DeLaRue:To begin with, I will advise you not to speak this out among intellectuals. One of the very first things about money is the fact that you cannot double spend it. Do you know you cannot double spend bitcoin and other crypto?. Let's start from there to assess your level before going deeper? |

Baxilexi:Gold is the last thing any US president touches. The SNp 50 and stocks would follow next. Since institutional investors started buying BTC I quit the game. Because if institutional investors fail they get government bail out fund. If the stocks or snp 50 tanks these coys would be offered bail out trust me. Who would gives a guy like me and you bail out? Yet people don't want to learn how the world works. |
