Yoruba Elders Rebuke President Tinubu Over Controversial Policies Amid Growing National Discontent

In a rare and emphatic show of dissent, prominent Yoruba elders have publicly condemned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent policies, describing them as “worthless” and detrimental to the socio-economic well-being of the Yoruba people and Nigerians at large. The elders, who hold immense cultural and moral influence, expressed deep disappointment over what they see as a growing disconnect between the president’s administration and the aspirations of the Nigerian populace.

At a high-profile forum in Ibadan, several respected leaders voiced their frustrations, accusing the president of neglecting critical issues such as economic hardship, infrastructure decay, and national unity. They warned that Tinubu’s stubborn adherence to policies perceived as ineffective is risking the fragile cohesion of the nation.

Despite the mounting criticisms, President Tinubu has remained unyielding, reiterating his commitment to his agenda and dismissing calls for urgent policy recalibration. This posture has further strained the relationship between the government and traditional authorities, sparking fears of widening discontent that could undermine stability in the southwest and beyond.

Analysts suggest that the growing rift signals a pivotal moment for Nigeria, where bridging the gap between leadership and grassroots expectations is imperative. Without responsive governance that embraces inclusive dialogue and accountability, the nation risks deeper divisions at a critical juncture in its democratic journey.

As tensions simmer, many Nigerians watch closely, hoping for a breakthrough that aligns governance with the hopes and realities of all its people.

Don't you see he's setting Igbos up for represal attacks as he's hoping that the other tribes may get feed up or don't you know he's using ipob template to whip up ethnic sentiments to cause a pogrom that who cause Peace loving, law abiding Igbos to be chased out of Nigeria thus achieving their ipob aim of getting a Biafra State.
