A peace dialogue between local authorities and Bandits in the forest areas of Bakori Local Government Area was held on Sunday under the leadership of the Council Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Barde.

The meeting, which took place in Bakori town, was aimed at strengthening peaceful coexistence and addressing lingering issues between the pastoralist communities and local residents.

Hon. Barde emphasized the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding in achieving lasting peace, noting that security and development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.

He assured the Fulani representatives of the local government’s commitment to supporting all efforts that promote peace and stability, while urging them to continue cooperating with security agencies and community leaders.

Community leaders, traditional rulers, and security representatives also attended the peace meeting.

This is one reason why Nigeria will be identified as a failed country, where the Government negotiates with known terrorist and killers but Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped in Kenya and has since been held by the government on terrorism charges with absolutely no evidence of the said crimes.

I agree totally but I think each govt that held Kanu in jail just wanted to show that you ipob are inconsequential.

Shamefully enough with all your academics you are unable to prove otherwise.

That is what this northern bandit are able to prove so that the govt need to negotiate but una mouth too much before you can accomplish anything.

I remember when their former governor Bello Masari told them during campaign that they should vote Tinubu cos if Tinubu fail to win, it's means Muslim in Nigeria has failed, greater percentage of them indeed voted APC.
