Jonathan used Igbos(Even appropriated the name Azikiwe to his names) and the Igbos broke their arms and limbs to work to produce him...twice.

In the past,Igbos abandoned Zik in 1979 and through Alex Ekwueme,Igbos worked with the North to defeat Awo so that Shagari will be President!

When Nigeria became a Republic,Igbos through Zik,have always worked with the North to produce Balewa,etc.

When will others...especially the North.. pay Igbos back for all their support?

.No structure, no unity, no reward..sir, it is time to learn from history,not repeat it.

For me, the igbo has done well in showing loyalty..but loyalty without strategy leads no where..

Umahi's point is simple..build alliance that pay off, not just emotional partnerships that fade after election..

Very very idiotic from the self acclaimed professor. Listen very carefully, I am apolitical but I follow history. Jonathan from the South was stopped by Tinubu from South in 2015, in 2031 presidency would go back to the North for 8 years even if Tinubu promised you, he will betray you because South West would always support North against South South and South East. South west and North has a lot in common especially Religion. Anytime in the future it's coming back to South, of course North would support South west to take it.

As much as Umahi was correct, he was wrong

He was right in saying 2027 is not for Igbo but also wrong saying 2031 is their turn, everyone including him knows that 2031 is the turn of the north should Tinubu win come 2027

Umahi was telling the south easterners the gospel truth but they won't listen.

The man was stylishly telling you to rally support for Tinubu rather than Atiku or even Obi, that by 2031 that the power would return to the north, south east candidate would make awareness and eventually be president by 2039.

Umahi was telling you there's no other party that can give presidency to Igbo except APC.

Yes, the sla ve is right. They MAY try it in 2031 when power shd rightly rotate back to the North.

I guess the South East should just make up their minds that they will never taste the Presidency until after 24 years, around 2050. Because once the North is done in 2038, Akpabio will take over for 8 years that will be 2038 to 2046. By then the Constitution will be amended to support a single 5 year term. After Akpabio, the North will take another 5 years. In 2051, the Igbos may probably see reasons to speak in one voice and produce a President that will do just 5 years and go. With Umahi kind of mentality, this is the lot of the South East. Sorry, I don't like it, but your leaders want it.
