These pardons are not unconnected with the coming elections in 2027

Chaiiiiiii and he was celebrated in his state. I don't understand. This shows that anyone can be released. Just imagine how scared and traumatised the witnesses that testified against him would be right now. The security men who tried fighting him and died in the process died for nothing. This is why such criminals and terrorists should be shot dead and not arrested. Even the arrested criminals that killed the arise lawyer would be released and pardoned by another administration. Whatever you do, don't allow anybody to kill you cos the state might pardon them and if they repent, God will forgive them.
Na life imprisonment him go chop because of kidnap.. as long as he did not take a life, he has the right to come out at some point. Wetin go come happen to the witness then?

Is the report about him involved in armed robbery and kidnapping false?
. Don't you know how our Nigerian system works, especially when it comes to rebranding people and tagging them with crimes they didn't commit........Do you think if truly he committed those crimes, why were his people happy yesterday.....My woman even had to call her relative yesterday right in my presence to confirm it and in the background, they were jubilating..

It's common sense. It mustn't be in the constitution. If you will defend, at least talk like someone that has common sense.
Common sense in a country that has a constitution. Did the president flaw the constitution or any legal grounds ? No

You are emotional and devoid of fact. It’s not happening first in Nigeria or the world.

In sane discussions, the first question would be about the legality? Which you not discussing here but sing emotions to telll me about “Common sense”

I see remarks about ignorance everywhere.

Pardons are given to criminals or offenders who have been imprisoned and have a jail sentence attached. What do you expect when you see the government pardoning these individuals? Can a government official be pardoning a law-abiding citizen? No, pardons are granted to criminals who may have been found guilty of a particular offense.
not these types of criminals. If someone killed your mother and got arrested, would you be happy to see him pardoned?
If he was jailed for protest or writing something against the government and he was sent to jail, pardon would make sense not this.

Congratulations to all who sat and took Peter Obi’s mandate and handed to Tinubu.

I hope they are happy now.

By the time he’s done, all the caged criminals would be back in the society terrorizing us again.
What of Atiku's mandate?

I just told you nothing but the truth my bro.......Here in my tribe, which is the urhobo,we don't celebrate kidnappers or armed robbers......In fact ,we eliminate them by all means possible.......Ask any ughelli Indigene about who the late Oke of Ughelli was ....Oke was considered as the the Anini of Ughelli as at 2003-2005 when he was unalived by his own community youths ..

that is you, unfortunately tinubull the head is a worse crmiinalll than the committee
Chucks13:
Those who recommended this list for Tinubu must go to jail ASAP and that useless board who recommended this shameful list must be dissolve and scrap forever.

And the funniest thing is the committe heads are from SE according to our record pls is this just a deliberate attempt to ridiculed the president by the head of that useless committee or what?

Something is wrong here very very wrong somebody is a criminal among the committee head, a real sneaky criminal pretending to be on the president side.

Tinubu you are a learned person henceforth stop approving nonsense, if you are too busy as per the comexity of Nigeria and if Gbaja and Onanuga are moles tell your wife to go through some of this things and both of you scrutinise it before approval, betrayers are everywhere sir.

This is a serious insider manipulation to embarrassed the president deliberately I swear if I'm Tinubu I will order the arrest of all the committee members and lock them up and I will order the arrest of th person that brought this rubbish to my table for approval and I will personal apologize to the public.

Then he should have released all prisoners in the country because it's in the constitution. The law was made for humans and not humans made for the law. The law that has empowered the President to grant pardon also expected him to apply such power with his wisdom and in the interest of the safety and security of the country. One of the most terrifying crimes in this country is kidnapping and yet a known kidnapper was pardoned. I pray you or your family don't fall into the hands of kidnappers or who would end up being pardoned.

Sowore was right. We have a criminal as president. This guy is definitely one of those doing his dirty jobs. Hence the pardon.

But Nigerians were amply informed that if an ex druggy lord is made to preside over Nigeria, criminality would take over Nigeria and rule Nigeria.

Nigerians were duly informed, during the 2023 presidential election campaign.,

Yes! He can get a presidential pardon and honor. It’s legal and constitutional.
* Do you think granting pardon to convicted criminal is a way of showing good deeds as a leader?
* What's the impact of such pardon on the mind of victims or the victim's people?
* What are the societal advantages of those type of release or disadvantages.
* If you know a criminal that did you shege was pardoned without you getting justice, goes would you thank the govt? Will you just do a small parlour party or do street oblee? Or you d rent out G. Akpabio stadium in Akwa Ibom to celebrate the funfair or you d manage the 20,000 capacity of Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano?

Answer question one to three then wait for Section B.

The president used his OWN wisdom and found all worthy of a presidential pardon. Anything else to discuss?

You cannot enforce your “Common sense” and emotions on legal grounds. It does not work that way anywhere in the world.

This can only be possible where a lazy incompetent President is in Power.....

Any matter that concerns the security of a country should be the first priority of the President, before even pardoning anyone , he is supposed to sleep over their cases, do several meetings before pardoning anyone...

What of one of the members appointed wants to use the pardoned criminal to silence himhuh?

Una just too mumu for this country, everything is loyalty to you. Even if your president is been stupid must you all support him?

Given the dire security situation in Nigeria, especially the alarming rate of kidnapping, this pardon sends a very wrong signal to the masses, victims of kidnappers and the international community.

And the citizens has the right and duty to cry out when the 'wisdom' is not seen to be in the interest of the security of the citizens. In any other part of a sane world, he won't be seen pardoning a kidnapper in the midst of kidnapping crises in the country.
