Salvator Mundi (Latin for 'Savior of the World') is a painting attributed in whole or part to the Italian High Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated c. 1499–1510 It became the most expensive painting ever sold at auction, fetching $450.3 million in 2017. The Salvator Mundi was bought at the 2017 Christie's auction by Saudi Prince Badr bin Abdullah Al Saud for $450.3 million. Reports indicate he acted on behalf of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. CoronaVirusPro:Money laundering involves getting money from illicit or criminal activities and placing (or investing) them in legal/clean hustles so no one knows or suspects the original source was criminal. There is nothing clandestine here, MBS is practically the state, and bought the most expensive painting in the world in a public auction . No obfuscation. So again, accusing him of money laundering makes absolutely no sense in this situation. In a funny way, it's almost the opposite of money laundering sef. |
