It is quite important to have water by your side especially in the night as alot of people have kpai from reflux activities in the human body system.
Once this reflux occurs and you don't have water by your side and you are living alone and you want to quickly rush to the parlour to get water ,it might be too late and alot of people have collapsed before getting the water.
Water is a life saver anytime any day.

If you eat late due to unforseen circumstances, please don't rush to bed immediately, even when you are feeling sleepy, try to be in a sitting position if you must sleep, until the food quietly goes down

The Acid influx of food is very deadly, you will be seeking for oxygen to breathe, as food tends to come out from the nose.


Avoid peppery food, avoid eating Suya late at night, avoid drinking tea late at night

I take water to bed,that’s my life….

There was a thread in FP few days ago asking what you must always have.

I particularly looked out for anyone that'd mention Water. None on the 1st page, maybe on later pages.

If you've never had emergencies and/or don't know how many things 'Water' can do.

Well, someone mentioned air though.

I cannot lock up for the night knowing there's no water anywhere nearby.

Living alone is dangerous

Especially those that don't even greet their neighbors

You don't have people checking up on you

I always have a bottle by my side every night and another extra two or three in my wardrobe. Water is key. I eat late most times that's why I don't joke with my water bottles.

This shit killed a friend of mine in 2019.

The same thing almost took my life sometime last year.

To avoid this .
Take omeprazole for a week or two anytime you experience GERD.

Do not eat late into the night, and avoid heavy food like fufu or eba

Heavy food stretches the fundus, and that makes you reflux when you lie down.

When you eat, avoid going to your bed immediately, wait for about an hour.

Most Nigerian Hospitals can not diagnose GERD, they mistake persistent cough associated with the reflux for bacteria infection.

Cough from GERD is usually dry and non productive.

It happened to me awhile ago ..just got back from a sit out watching football,took a bottle or two,came back home,ate hot meal and slept off immediately because every other person at home wasn't back from a church program. Suddenly woke in the middle of the night feeling choked, couldn't breathe,only much water I had drank earlier was coming out from my nose feeling pepperish due to suya I ate......na so I sidon reason say to die na one second play.......God I beg oooooo.....see beta English*acid reflux*

All these things nor too much for water as side chick so🤷‍♂️🤔? Na God dey save man from everything. Like, everything for life just dey against man; woman, spirits, war, village people, bad government, insecurity, trap, poison, mistakes, etc how many I go name. Na wa!!!

Yeah, that’s what made me stop eating shawarma earlier this year. Had one the last time, washed it down with coke, I was so full I just managed to get home and slept almost immediately, that evening was hell!
Woke up with that burning sensation, half hiccups, eyes watery, and kept chugging water till I could literally feel it sitting in my belly.

I decided to always have antacid at home since then cos I can't stop eating late sha

I find taking water before eating, taking water during meals and after meals very helpful during late night meals.

Henceforth, I am not gonna be underrating water again in my life. Right now, I am keeping a pack of bottled water right by my bed side....and reading table..... 😂 😂 😂

Yéyé person like me fit wake up go drink water. I dey do activities for dream, instead of stupid "dream-me" to find water and drink there, the werey will now pass it to my physical body, disturbing my sleep every night.

My own body always needs water, whether I'm awake or asleep. So, I always have water near me. I even got a metal flask for that.

Only make my bad habit for cold water no let me reach the age I plan.

You cannot survive beyond 6 days without water...

When you eat, especially at night, do not lay down immediately, try to sit up for about 30-60mins let the food settle before you lay down on the bed.
Omo, you chop and sleep, na reflux go wake you, apart from choking, the acid combined with peppery food we eat as Nigerians will cause burns to your oesophagus.
