lagonovo:How many Nigerian foreigners are doing good job abroad particularly UK.It is strictly care and warehouse job (12hrs shift) with very minimum amount to save after bills. Finally, some of these 12 hrs hard job will send you to early grave where you will contend with stroke in your old age. How many british citizen are doing the rubbish with you. |

Omoapena:How many people earn 1m in Nigeria, 85 percent of Nigerians earn less than 150k and they are surviving .It is just because you choose to be lavish and extravagant. Reason you are struggling with good savings. Do you think it easy to save 1m with food delivery job in europe, warehouse job in UK and under the table job in the USA.It is better in US if you study ,which is not a joke without finance. I pitied those taking little kids abroad, grade A foolishness, na them go feel am much. You will learn the hardway at old age that Oyinbo never believed in communal way of living. When your children will abandon you and dress half naked, smoke everything as a result of peer influence and friends from school with zero control over it.If you have nothing working for you in Nigeria, Japa is good and ensure your kids are above 16years before they japa with you. Me oo, immediately I have a financial structure that guarantee 500k monthly and very secure.I will pack my bag and leave this UK. You can test me, just provide the offer. |

mascot345:Don't let the huge amount "N500k" to deceive you or burst your head. The N500k of 2024/2025, is the N120k of 2018/2019, before COVID-19. |

Babaibe:Buddy, the N150k is huge, the minimum wage is N70k, and alot of people earn way below that amount. As for kids; pikin wey wan spoil go spoil, no matter where the child's resides. Let's just endeavor to commit our kids before the Lord, and be praying for them for a better discipline God fearing lifestyle 🙏 |

dederocs:Not true. This false narrative needs to stop. A unskilled laborer in a unionized job can make up to 100k dollars per year abroad easily. I'm talking about North America. A minimum wage earner at McDonald's has a better quality of life and more Money than 95% of people in naija. America in the 1700's is more developed than naija in 2025. Never compare the two labour market. Naija doesn't even have labour laws like that. |

Babaibe:What does it matter what a person is doing if they're making good money living comfortably ? These shame tactics don't work in a developed country. Nobody cares about status here. |

Babaibe:Why "particularly" UK, why are you not describing the situation of Nigerians in Nigeria using "particularly Benue State" as your focus? Even the UK you guys love talking about, I was at Accenture in London last year and quite surprised at the sheer number of Nigerian professionals that I met there in just one day. That is just one company! Some of them probably worked menial jobs to keep going some years ago. How many working professionals will have the time to be making YouTube videos on how good life is in the UK or Canada? Only the struggling ones tend to speak out that's why we have lots of noise about struggles abroad amplified by social media. Immigration typically comes with initial struggles. If you have brain, focus and patience, nowhere with opportunities anywhere in the world shoud scare you. Just check the data on standard of living before starting the process ![]() |

maternal:Na suffer oga...100k a year abroad is not a big money, how is this possible on a minimum wage of 12 USD an hour...dont you pay for house rent? do you work 24hrs? Sharing a small flat with people and living like a pauper is not life, if anything happens your room mates go share your small properties ![]() Unless you live like a pauper to save, it's a boring suffering life, in this short existence, doing menial jobs in your 40s is suffering, even in heaven. Young boys spend 100k USD a month in Nigeria...or did you travel from a village? |

dederocs:100k dollars will give you a decent life abroad in an expensive city. 100k dollars abroad in an affordable city, you're laughing. Village boy, only an uninformed person works for minimum wage pass one year after arrival. A unionized toilet cleaner makes over 100k dollars per year easily. You don't pay house rent there too ? Broke baby mama's get free subsidized housing. Roommates ? Stop projecting your failures on to others. Living in a face me, face you, with no running water, no electricity, etc just to say "I get my own place" is no flex. Those poorly built houses with poor workmanship. Someone that lives in the poverty capital of the world, with the world's lowest life expectancy is opening mouth, talking about menial job. 99% of people in that country do menial jobs. I know you're trolling. But stop discouraging people to migrate. That's wickedness |

| Re: If U Save Up To 500k Every Month In Nigeria, Will U Consider Travelling Abroad? by dederocs(m): 8:56pm On Oct 13, 2025 |
maternal:It's not a big money abroad. You are still at the bottom of the food chain there. Minimum wage is nothing to be proud of even in heaven, you go suffer for nothing. |
| Re: If U Save Up To 500k Every Month In Nigeria, Will U Consider Travelling Abroad? by Babaibe: 9:04pm On Oct 13, 2025 |
lagonovo:You began well, but your conclusion drifts far from common sense. While you seem eager to defend the UK, you also appear to take pleasure in ridiculing Nigeria. You rarely acknowledge anything positive about your own country. You constantly highlight what’s wrong with Nigeria, yet you gloss over the UK’s flaws, the same UK where many work endlessly like machines just to survive. Are there not countless Nigerians who started small, legitimately, and now have success stories worth celebrating? Why paint Nigeria as if everyone here lives in misery? The houses, cars, and architectural beauty in cities like Lagos and Abuja can rival and in some cases surpass what you’ll find in London. True, our country faces challenges, but so does the UK. Only an ungrateful person describes his father’s house with disdain while glorifying a place that sees him as inferior and where empathy is scarce. Nigeria will rise again, and when that happens, many who now mock her will realize they were living in modern-day slavery abroad. In the end, if you truly have focus, patience, and intelligence, opportunities anywhere, including Nigeria, should not intimidate you. How many UK citizens are truly wealthy? Their idea of success often differs from ours: owning a flat on mortgage and a car bought on credit, both paid off over decades. If that’s your definition of a good life, then perhaps it’s time to re-evaluate your claims and rethink the narrative you’re pushing. |

Babaibe:Your insecurity is showing again. Nobody cares about what one drives here. Driving a good car is nothing here. Millionaires in New York take public transport. The price of accommodations depends on where you live again. But to answer your question about the 100k dollars per year salary: https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/bart-janitor-making-100k-plus-in-salary-alone-group-says/ Nobody in this cleaning department made less than 100k dollars that year. https://cw33.com/watercooler/the-112000-job-garbage-truck-driver/ No garbage men made less than 100k dollars that year. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/415-bus-drivers-sunshine-list-1.5505087 Bus drivers make 100k dollars per year easily. https://www.sunshineliststats.com/Salary/mitchmiller/2019/9/cityofottawa This bus driver made 200k dollars this year. https://www.sunshineliststats.com/Salary/denniscrowe/2021/9/cityofottawa This CLEANER made over 100k dollars this year https://www.sunshineliststats.com/Salary/jacquesazangiombun/2021/9/cityofottawa This CLEANER made over 100k dollars this year. My friend go and sit down. Toilet cleaners, bus drivers, or garbage men touch money and live better lives 99.999% of Nigerians in Nigeria could only dream off. Bank managers in naija would be cleaning their bum bum. Stay in that S-hole country because of ordinary 500k NAIRA ? lol. This is what happens when you've never really traveled abroad, and all you know is poverty and suffa suffa. |

Lol, help me ask him if all his/her problems evaporate immediately landing on his Mars. Africans and poor mentality. Americans finds America boring and Canadian still feels that Canada not worth living for them but Nigerians see going to abroad as achievement even if it means depreciation in their standard of living, they just wanna be in the abroad.
