My little brother traveled to study in Sweden for studies. He has been there for over a month and I've been asking him to look for a job to support himself.

However, he told me that students are required to stay a minimum of 3 months before they are eligible for a work permit.

Please I'll like to know if this statement is true?.

Also, how easy is it to get non-skilled jobs in Sweden?.

3 month ehh well tell him to learn how to code, learn python or javascript , then freelance. the internet doesnt care about swedish work permits, it only cares anout whether you can deliver if hes actually good he can make more in a month than flipping burgers for a year assumimg he can stomach the existential dread of participating in the gig economy

What school does he attend there? You can contact them yourself to inquire about this. They would be in a better position to answer. Just don't say your brother told you. Ask in the form of a general question.

Don't mind him...his student visa allows him to work when he arrives.....and there is no restriction like UK that says 20hrs per week

He just wants you to keep sending him money until he can find a job whenever...

Still ....that doesn't mean jobs are easy to come by...he may find it difficult getting a job in 3 months seff if he's in sciences programme that's very demanding having lectures, labs, etc

One month is too little to start supporting himself...Getting job as a newbie in a foreign country is not easy. Just very few get lucky to start supporting themselves financially. It is not easy.

That’s why the embassy asks you for proof of funds
