What is more denigrating than a government that has refused to obey court order? If it was Igboho that was detained this way and his rights violated you won't be saying this. All the spin doctors of Nairaland are out on this thread to twist the narrative with the sole aim of stopping the protest but you will all fail. If you want to stop the protest, tell the government to free Nnamdi Kanu before 20th October.

The case is before a High Court, so who is he telling that an accused terrorist is an innocent man, or is he purporting to undermine the Nigerian judiciary?

I bet u, no protest, the same high court that he is undermining will not grant him bail when he is eventually arraigned by the police for disturbing the peace of the residents of The FCT.

One reason in my opinion I think that made Simon Ekpa's case different from Kanu is Ekpa owned up directly to arming his men and the killings done by his men in several of his social media posts. This is why he was charged and prosecuted for terrorism by the Finland government. In Kanu's case, he on several occasions made it clear that what he was pushing for was referendum, he went on trial, court ruled that he should be released but the government disobeyed court order and instead ran to supreme court to get a favourable judgement to detain him, making it obvious that Nigeria government has no regard for the rule of law. Your comment has exposed your hypocrisy which is clear for all to see. It is you and your government that will beg for reprieve from angry protesters on October 20th if Kanu is not freed by then.

Comments like yours reinforces the notion that many Nigerians pretend to like democracy but love oppressive governments. You are happy to see Sowore jailed for exercising his rights but you will cry, you will scream injustice when you are denied your salary, you will run to same unjust high court you praising now hoping to get justice.
