And finally just like I always said all season and maintained - The winners are chosen on stage and in the first week. This was always an Imisi win. BBN winners being chosen early is never going to change. Una go doubt am tire but it never changes year on year

Online, I always see posts complaining that educational shows are on the decline. Unemployed people claim BBNaija would lose market if educational programs returned to the airwaves.

I’m here watching The Next Titan. I have never seen any thread dedicated to the program. If it existed, people who’d patronize it would not total to ten at best. We saw what happened when Gulder Ultimate Search and WWTBAM returned. The common comment I saw which dominated their threads was “thank God for this return. Nobody will patronize BBNaija again.” No comment past that focused on the show’s actions. Well, we know how those ended up.

Nigerians are hypocrites. They don’t know what’s good for them. Give them what they want and they will still find means to complain.

To be honest, the truth is that audiences reject alternative shows like Ultimate Search and WWTBAM because these shows don't really understand what drives sustained engagement. Ultimate Search came back after how many years, with the same outdated formats and minimal sponsorships/promotional investments. Plus another thing that is important for a show to rival BBN now is audience participation mechanisms during active gameplay - which the two shows you mentioned lack.

The problem with GUS in particular is that the organizers were expecting nostalgia alone to carry them. Nostalgia is not enough. BBNaija succeeds because they know how to create a 24/7 engagement ecosystem where audiences feel ownership over the outcomes. Thats why the show keeps thriving, even though it has lost a bit of its magic: because the alternatives haven't offered compelling reasons to invest attention.

Anyone who wants to do a TV show here in Nigeria to rival BBN has to create a system where viewers can engage with the show, and where there's plenty of organic interpersonal drama in it to keep their attention. One show that I think would work well here in Nigeria is "The Traitors." It's very similar to Big Brother but with a few little differences. If executed well and given plenty of commitment from sponsors, it could attract a decent portion of the BBN viewer base. I could explain how but right now I'm lazy. But if you don't mind, I'll try to explain later.

Watching a little idea i thought of in June come to Life and having amazing people to do it with me is an opportunity I do not take for granted🙏

Today I stepped out with the team at Lagos Food Bank, some volunteers and faithfuls to put a smile on 50 families. Although this may not be grand, seeing smiles on those faces gave me hope that together we can make the world a better place.

Again I’m grateful for this opportunity and such a lovely day was had 😊💜
