Can you argue definitively that this “advantage” will lead an African country to the final of the WC? Otherwise, I won’t understand this “advantage”. I better be seeing 2 African countries in the semifinals angry

Mikel is a legend. Instrumental to our champions league triumph. Multiple Premier league and fa cups playing active role and minutes.

Never sulked when on the bench, always ready to come on and give his best. Matured into one of the leaders of the team especially during his last years.

If not for ogba wey dey Conte head, Mikel didn't deserve the unceremonious exit.

Mikel is a Chelsea legend. But you're entitled to retain your opinion though

The lowest in premier league was 75 by Scummies United.

Even in you add Milan 12 points based on say England de play extra matches, they still wouldn't be anywhere near 70

Cape Verde have qualified for the world cup for the first time after beating Swaziland 3-0 in their final home game
They did not concede a single goal in all of their home matches in the qualifiers, and they topped a group containing Cameroon, Angola and Libya

In my country, we are waiting for Rwanda to draw South Africa so that we can beat Benin and then qualify grin

Andrey Santos wasn't injured. Maresca should try 433 with Santos,lavia and caicedo in midfield and Garnacho , Joao Pedro and Estevao in attack.

From the initial observation, he looked like a lazy player to me, he wasn't tracking back as much as Enzo was.
Hopefully he gets better.

UEFA are reportedly considering making significant changes to EURO (and World Cup) qualifiers to make them more “exciting”.

England’s combined EURO and World Cup qualifiers record, since the start of this century, is reportedly one of the reasons why Nyon is looking at shaking up the qualification format 😂

To put it into more perspective, the last time England lost a WC qualifier was… 16 years ago

Idea for future organization of Euro WC qualifiers:

All European teams can go into a big league table instead of being split into small groups.

The teams will then be seeded into tiers (based on strength), so every nation plays a fair mix of “strong” and “weaker” opponents.

Each country plays 8 matches in total: two against tier 1 teams, two against tier 2 teams, two against tier 3, and two against tier 4. No playoffs needed at the end, where the top 16 in the table qualify straight to the World Cup.

Under this format, scheduling is simple: all 8 matches can be played in just 2 international breaks (4 matches per break). Benefits include fewer matches, less travel, lower costs, easier recovery for players, and a clear, fair system that everyone can follow.

That is what I would do and this proposed format would increase interest as you would have top nations playing one another, instead of being dropped into a group of weaker nations. It would also give us just 2 international breaks, instead of the current 5, that are not beneficial to the European leagues.
